نفذت فرق الطوارئ التابعة لمشروع «مسام» لنزع الألغام - اليمن بالتعاون مع المركز التنفيذي للتعامل مع الألغام فرع المكلا أمس (الخميس) عملية إتلاف 1681 قطعة من الألغام والمخلفات الحربية.
وقال المركز الإعلامي للمشروع في بيان صحفي إن المواد التي تم إتلافها شملت قذائف متنوعة، وألغاماً، وصواريخ، جاءت على النحو التالي: 9 صواريخ موجهة M79، 5، قذائف مدفعية (عيار 122)، 18 قذيفة عيار (85)، 187 قذيفة (عيار 30)، 16 قذيفة هاون (عيار 81)، 98 قذيفة هاون (عيار 60)، 86 قذيفة (عيار 40)، 12 لغماً مضاداً للأفراد، 12 قذيفة هاون (عيار 82)، 262 قذيفة (عيار 23)، 3 قذائف بي 10، 28 قذيفة آر بي جي، 17 قنبلة يدوية، 30 فيوز لغم مضاد للدبابات، 107 فيوزات صواريخ كاتيوشا، 791 طلقة (عيار 12.7).
وقال المركز إن هذه العملية تعد الخامسة من نوعها في مدينة المكلا في محافظة حضرموت منذ منتصف شهر يناير الماضي، موضحاً أن أعمال المشروع متواصلة خلال شهر رمضان المبارك لتطهير الأراضي اليمنية من الألغام والعبوات الناسفة والمخلفات الحربية.
وأضاف أنه بهذه العملية تصبح كمية المواد التي تم إتلافها من قبل فرق المشروع في المكلا منذ 17 يناير الماضي 11,487 قطعة من الألغام والعبوات الناسفة والذخائر غير المنفجرة.
The emergency teams of the "Masam" project for mine clearance in Yemen, in collaboration with the Executive Center for Mine Action in Mukalla, carried out the destruction of 1,681 pieces of mines and war remnants yesterday (Thursday).
The project's media center stated in a press release that the materials destroyed included various shells, mines, and rockets, as follows: 9 guided missiles M79, 5 artillery shells (caliber 122), 18 shells (caliber 85), 187 shells (caliber 30), 16 mortar shells (caliber 81), 98 mortar shells (caliber 60), 86 shells (caliber 40), 12 anti-personnel mines, 12 mortar shells (caliber 82), 262 shells (caliber 23), 3 B10 shells, 28 RPG shells, 17 hand grenades, 30 anti-tank mine fuses, 107 Katyusha rocket fuses, and 791 rounds (caliber 12.7).
The center indicated that this operation is the fifth of its kind in the city of Mukalla in Hadhramaut Governorate since mid-January, explaining that the project's activities continue during the holy month of Ramadan to clear Yemeni lands of mines, explosive devices, and war remnants.
It added that with this operation, the total amount of materials destroyed by the project teams in Mukalla since January 17 has reached 11,487 pieces of mines, explosive devices, and unexploded ordnance.
