كشفت السلطات الأمريكية عن تطورات خطيرة في قضية مختبرات بيولوجية غير قانونية، بعد إلقاء القبض على أوري سالومون في لاس فيغاس، بتهم تتعلق بالتخلص غير القانوني من نفايات خطرة، وحيازة أسلحة نارية رغم وجوده بتأشيرة غير مهاجرة.
وتأتي هذه الاعتقالات ضمن تحقيق أوسع يطال المواطن الصيني جيا باي زو، الذي لا يزال موقوفًا، وسط مخاوف رسمية من محاولته الفرار إلى الصين، خاصة بعد مغادرة شريكته تشاويان وانغ البلاد عقب بدء التحقيقات.
وتشير ملفات المحكمة إلى وجود شبكة معقدة تجمع بين أنشطة بيولوجية ومالية، استخدمت شركات عقارية غطاءً لها، وارتبطت بمختبرات غير مرخصة في كاليفورنيا ولاس فيغاس، احتوت على عينات خطيرة لأمراض معدية، بينها فيروس نقص المناعة البشرية والملاريا.
وأفادت السلطات بأن المختبرات كانت تبيع اختبارات "كوفيد-19" غير مرخصة، فيما يشتبه بوجود صلات بين زو وجهات داخل الحزب الشيوعي الصيني، وهو ما دفع مكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالي لتكثيف مداهماته وتحقيقاته.
وأكد مشرعون أمريكيون أن القضية تمثل تهديدًا حقيقيًا للأمن الصحي، مطالبين بتشديد الرقابة وإغلاق جميع المختبرات السرية، في وقت أعلنت فيه السلطات عزمها تفكيك هذه الشبكات بالكامل ومحاسبة المتورطين.
The U.S. authorities have revealed serious developments in the case of illegal biological laboratories, following the arrest of Ori Salomon in Las Vegas on charges related to the illegal disposal of hazardous waste and possession of firearms while on a non-immigrant visa.
These arrests are part of a broader investigation involving Chinese national Jia Bai Zhu, who remains in custody amid official concerns about his attempt to flee to China, especially after his partner, Chaoyuan Wang, left the country following the start of the investigations.
Court documents indicate the existence of a complex network combining biological and financial activities, which used real estate companies as a cover, and was linked to unlicensed laboratories in California and Las Vegas that contained dangerous samples of infectious diseases, including HIV and malaria.
Authorities reported that the laboratories were selling unlicensed "COVID-19" tests, while there are suspicions of connections between Zhu and entities within the Chinese Communist Party, prompting the FBI to intensify its raids and investigations.
U.S. lawmakers have confirmed that the case poses a real threat to public health, calling for stricter oversight and the closure of all secret laboratories, as authorities announced their intention to dismantle these networks completely and hold those involved accountable.
