أتلف مشروع «مسام» السعودي لنزع الألغام في اليمن أمس (الخميس)، 1885 لغماً ومخلفات حربية في مدينة المكلا بمحافظة حضرموت جنوب شرق اليمن.
وأوضحت فرق الطوارئ التابعة لـمشروع «مسام» لنزع الألغام - اليمن والمركز التنفيذي للتعامل مع الألغام في المكلا أمس أن القائمة شملت المواد التي تم إتلافها، 1360 طلقة (عيار 12,7)، و230 قذيفة (عيار 37)، و235 قذيفة (عيار 23)، و23 قذيفة هاون (عيار 83)، و11 قذيفة هاون (عيار 120)، و23 قنبلة يدوية، و3 ألغام مضادة للدروع.
وأكد المركز الإعلامي للمشروع، أن هذه العملية تعد الرابعة من نوعها في مدينة المكلا في محافظة حضرموت منذ منتصف شهر يناير الماضي، موضحاً أنها تمثل جزءاً من عمليات المشروع في المدينة التي لم تتوقف يوماً واحداً، وذلك لضمان تطهير كافة أرجاء المكلا من الألغام والعبوات الناسفة والمخلفات الحربية، وتحقيق الأمن والسلامة لسكانها المدنيين.
وأفاد المشروع أنه بهذه العملية تصب كمية المواد التي تم إتلافها من قبل فرق المشروع في المكلا منذ 17 يناير الماضي إلى 9806 قطعة من الألغام والعبوات الناسفة والذخائر غير المنفجرة.

The emergency teams of the "Masam" mine clearance project - Yemen and the Executive Center for Mine Action in Mukalla stated yesterday that the list included the materials that were destroyed: 1,360 rounds (caliber 12.7), 230 shells (caliber 37), 235 shells (caliber 23), 23 mortar shells (caliber 83), 11 mortar shells (caliber 120), 23 hand grenades, and 3 anti-tank mines.
The project's media center confirmed that this operation is the fourth of its kind in the city of Mukalla in Hadhramaut Governorate since mid-January, explaining that it is part of the project's ongoing operations in the city, which have not stopped for a single day, in order to ensure the clearance of all areas of Mukalla from mines, explosive devices, and war remnants, and to achieve security and safety for its civilian residents.
The project reported that with this operation, the total amount of materials destroyed by the project teams in Mukalla since January 17 has reached 9,806 pieces of mines, explosive devices, and unexploded ordnance.
