بعد هدوء نسبي للتصعيد العسكري بين واشنطن وطهران خلال اليومين الماضيين، اتهم المرشد الإيراني علي خامنئي اليوم (السبت) الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب بالتسبب في إثارة الفتنة داخل إيران وسقوط ضحايا وأضرار وتشويه سمعة الإيرانيين خلال الاحتجاجات، مما يعزز من احتمالات عودة التصعيد الدبلوماسي والعسكري وسط مناخ أكثر توترًا وخطرًا في المنطقة.
وأوضح المرشد الإيراني أن الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية تدعم الفتنة في بلاده كمقدمة لعمل أكبر كانت تريد تنفيذه، موضحاً أن هدف أمريكا ابتلاع إيران.
تدريب مثيري الشعب
وقال خامنئي في خطاب له، «الرئيس الأمريكي دنالد ترمب حرض على الفتنة وقدم هو والكيان الصهيوني الدعم لها»، مضيفاً: «المخابرات الأمريكية والصهيونية قامتا بتدريب قيادات مثيري الشغـب في الخارج».
ولفت إلى أن ترمب وراء ما لحق من خسائر وأضرار وتشهير بالإيرانيين، مبيناً أنه تم «اعتقال عدد كبير من متزعمي وقادة أعمال الشغب والتخريب»
واتهم خامنئي المحتجين بإحراق 250 مسجداً وضرب البنوك والمحلات وقتل الآلاف، معتبراً أن الإعلام الصهيوني هو من ضخم أعمال الشغب.
وشدد المرشد الإيراني بالقول: لا يكفي إحباط الفتنة وإنما ينبغي تحميل الولايات المتحدة المسؤولية، لافتاً إلى أن القوى الأمنية بما فيها الحرس والتعبئة قدموا تضحيات هائلة وأحبطوا ما وصفها بـ«الفتنة».
ودعا خامنئي الإيرانيين إلى تعزيز الوحدة الوطنية، موضحاً أنه لن يسمح في هذه الظروف الإساءة لرئيس الجمهورية أو أي مسؤول آخر.
وأضاف: «لن نجر البلاد إلى حرب لكننا لن ندع المجرمين المحليين أو الدوليين يفلتون من العقاب ولن نترك مثيري الشغب في الداخل، والأسوأ هم من بالخارج».
تهديدات ترمب
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب قد لوّح بعمل عسكري للرد على قمع المتظاهرين.
وقال ترمب قبل أيام «المساعدة في الطريق» للمتظاهرين، ثم عاد مجدداً ليخفف لهجته في وقت لاحق حينما قال للصحفيين في واشنطن: «إيران ألغت إعدام أكثر من 800 شخص وأكنّ احتراماً كبيراً لحقيقة أنهم ألغوا ذلك».
ولم يوضح الرئيس الأمريكي مع من تواصل داخل إيران للتأكد من وضع أي عمليات إعدام كانت مخططة.
After a relative calm in the military escalation between Washington and Tehran over the past two days, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei today (Saturday) accused U.S. President Donald Trump of inciting unrest within Iran, leading to casualties, damage, and tarnishing the reputation of Iranians during the protests, which increases the likelihood of a return to diplomatic and military escalation amid a more tense and dangerous climate in the region.
The Iranian leader explained that the United States supports the unrest in his country as a prelude to a larger operation it intends to carry out, stating that America's goal is to swallow Iran.
Training the Instigators
Khamenei said in a speech, "U.S. President Donald Trump incited the unrest and he and the Zionist entity provided support for it," adding, "American and Zionist intelligence trained the leaders of the rioters abroad."
He pointed out that Trump is behind the losses, damages, and defamation of Iranians, indicating that "a large number of the leaders and instigators of the riots and vandalism have been arrested."
Khamenei accused the protesters of burning 250 mosques, attacking banks and shops, and killing thousands, considering that the Zionist media exaggerated the riots.
The Iranian leader emphasized by saying: it is not enough to thwart the unrest; the United States must be held accountable, noting that security forces, including the Guards and the Basij, have made tremendous sacrifices and thwarted what he described as "the unrest."
Khamenei called on Iranians to strengthen national unity, clarifying that he will not allow, under these circumstances, any disrespect towards the President or any other official.
He added: "We will not drag the country into war, but we will not allow local or international criminals to escape punishment, and we will not leave the instigators of unrest inside, and the worst are those from abroad."
Trump's Threats
U.S. President Donald Trump had hinted at military action in response to the suppression of protesters.
Days ago, Trump said, "Help is on the way" for the protesters, but later softened his tone when he told reporters in Washington: "Iran has canceled the execution of more than 800 people, and I have great respect for the fact that they canceled that."
The U.S. President did not clarify with whom he communicated inside Iran to verify the status of any planned executions.
