شهد جامع الأميرة سلطانة بنت تركي السديري بحي القدس في الرياض إقامة إفطار جماعي سنوي يجمع جيران الجامع في أجواء رمضانية يسودها التآلف والتعارف، حيث يحرص كل جار على إحضار جزء من فطوره للمشاركة في هذه المائدة الجماعية.
ويأتي هذا التقليد الرمضاني بمبادرة ومتابعة إمام الجامع الدكتور شبيب الحقباني، ومؤذن الجامع جمعان الدوسري، وسط حضور لافت من أهالي الحي الذين يجتمعون سنويًا على هذه المائدة التي تعزز روح الجيرة والتواصل بين السكان.
كما أشار عبدالله آل الشيخ إلى اعتزازه بخدمة الجامع والإشراف على إدارته ونشاطاته المختلفة، مبينًا أنه سعى منذ سنوات إلى تنظيم العديد من المبادرات الاجتماعية فيه، ومن أبرزها الإفطار الجماعي الرمضاني الذي أصبح مناسبة سنوية يلتقي فيها جيران الجامع في أجواء أخوية تعكس قيم التكافل والتراحم بين أهالي الحي.
ويُعد الجامع من المعالم الدينية في الحي، إذ شيّده المستشار الخاص لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الأمير سلطان بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آظظ على نفقته الخاصة، وأطلق عليه اسم والدته الأميرة سلطانة بنت تركي السديري (رحمها الله) قبل نحو 33 عامًا، فيما لا تزال حلقات تحفيظ القرآن الكريم فيه مستمرة منذ تأسيسه حتى اليوم.
The Princess Sultana bint Turki Al-Sudairi Mosque in the Al-Quds neighborhood of Riyadh held its annual communal iftar, bringing together the mosque's neighbors in a Ramadan atmosphere filled with harmony and acquaintance. Each neighbor is keen to bring a part of their iftar to share at this communal table.
This Ramadan tradition is initiated and followed up by the mosque's imam, Dr. Shabeeb Al-Haqbani, and the mosque's muezzin, Jumaan Al-Dosari, with a notable attendance from the residents of the neighborhood who gather annually at this table, which enhances the spirit of neighborliness and communication among the residents.
The mosque is considered one of the religious landmarks in the neighborhood, as it was built by the special advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, at his own expense. It was named after his mother, Princess Sultana bint Turki Al-Sudairi – may she rest in peace – about 33 years ago, and the Quran memorization classes have continued there since its establishment until today.
