The seventh investigating judge in Damascus, Tawfiq Al-Ali, issued an absent arrest warrant against former President Bashar Al-Assad, related to the events in Daraa that took place on November 23, 2011. The Syrian news agency "SANA" reported that the warrant issued by Judge Al-Ali today (Saturday) includes charges of premeditated murder, torture leading to death, and deprivation of liberty. Al-Ali pointed out that the judicial decision allows for the warrant to be circulated through Interpol and for the case to be followed up at the international level.

Al-Ali stated that this action is based on a lawsuit filed by the families of the victims of the Daraa events, confirming the continuation of legal procedures to pursue the perpetrators of crimes associated with the fallen regime.

Despite the fall of the Assad regime, thousands of foreigners from the families of detained ISIS members remain in detention centers in the "Al-Hol Camp" in northeastern Syria.

While many foreign countries still refuse to repatriate their citizens, the U.S. Central Command announced that it is working on establishing a "joint coordination mechanism" in northeastern Syria to arrange the return of those held in the camps, particularly in Al-Hol.

Central Command leader Brad Cooper stated during a conference in New York titled "Returning Individuals from Al-Hol and Surrounding Centers" that there is a need to expedite the return of detainees and displaced persons to their countries. He spoke about plans to establish a new joint mechanism for this purpose.

In previous years, relief and humanitarian organizations have described the living conditions in Al-Hol Camp as poor, which houses around 37,000 people, most of whom are the wives and children of ISIS fighters.

The camp also includes foreigners from Western countries and Iraqis who traveled to join the terrorist organization years ago.
