رداً على التهديدات التي أطلقها الجيش الإسرائيلي باستهداف بلدات ميس الجبل، كفرتبنيت، ودبّين، وما رافقها من إنذارات عاجلة لإخلاء المنازل، أكد رئيس الوزراء اللبناني نواف سلام، اليوم (الخميس)، أن حكومته متمسكة بمسار وقف الأعمال العدائية، وتؤكد أنّها منخرطة في اجتماعات الميكانيزم، لكن السؤال المشروع اليوم: أين هو التزام إسرائيل بهذه الآليات؟ وكيف يُعقل أن تستمر في ممارسة الترهيب والاعتداءات، فيما يُفترض بهذه الاجتماعات أن تضمن التطبيق الكامل للقرار 1701 ولوقف العمليات العدائية؟
الضغط على إسرائيل
وأضاف سلام: يدعو لبنان المجتمع الدولي، ولا سيّما الدول الراعية لاتفاق وقف العمليات العدائية، إلى ممارسة أقصى الضغوط على إسرائيل لوقف اعتداءاتها فوراً، والعودة إلى الآلية واتفاق وقف العمليات العدائية والتزاماته، بما في ذلك الانسحاب من الأراضي اللبنانية التي ما زالت تحتلها، ووقف الاعتداءات، والإفراج عن الأسرى.
وكان المتحدث باسم جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي أفيخاي أدرعي قد وجّه، اليوم، إنذاراً إلى سكان بلدات جنوبية بضرورة إخلاء منازلهم، في إطار سياسة التدمير التي تواصلها إسرائيل رغم سريان اتفاق وقف النار.
خروقات إسرائيلية
ويأتي هذا التطور غداة سلسلة من الخروقات التي سجّلتها القوات الإسرائيلية، أمس (الأربعاء)، وشملت قصفاً مدفعياً واستهداف مناطق سكنية وزراعية في القطاع الأوسط والجنوبي من الحدود اللبنانية، ما يؤكد استمرار إسرائيل في انتهاك التزاماتها حيال القرار 1701 واتفاق وقف العمليات العدائية.
In response to the threats issued by the Israeli army to target the towns of Mays al-Jabal, Kfar Tebnit, and Dabin, along with urgent evacuation warnings for homes, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam confirmed today (Thursday) that his government is committed to the path of halting hostilities and emphasizes that it is engaged in mechanism meetings. However, the legitimate question today is: Where is Israel's commitment to these mechanisms? How is it possible for it to continue practicing intimidation and assaults while these meetings are supposed to ensure the full implementation of Resolution 1701 and the cessation of hostilities?
Pressure on Israel
Salam added: Lebanon calls on the international community, especially the countries sponsoring the ceasefire agreement, to exert maximum pressure on Israel to immediately stop its assaults, return to the mechanism and the ceasefire agreement and its commitments, including withdrawing from the Lebanese territories it still occupies, halting the assaults, and releasing the prisoners.
Israeli occupation army spokesman Avichai Adraee issued a warning today to residents of southern towns to evacuate their homes, as part of the destruction policy that Israel continues despite the ceasefire agreement being in effect.
Israeli Violations
This development comes on the heels of a series of violations recorded by Israeli forces yesterday (Wednesday), which included artillery shelling and targeting residential and agricultural areas in the central and southern sectors of the Lebanese border, confirming Israel's continued violation of its commitments regarding Resolution 1701 and the ceasefire agreement.
