ضبط الجيش اللبناني اليوم (الأربعاء)، نحو 64 مليون حبة كبتاغون في شرق البلاد، وبحسب بيان الجيش فإنها من بين أكبر الكميات التي تصادر على الأراضي اللبنانية.
79 برميلاً لصناعة المخدرات
وكتب الجيش اللبناني على حسابه في «إكس»: ضمن إطار مكافحة الاتجار بالمخدرات في مختلف المناطق اللبنانية، وبعد عملية رصد ومتابعة لتحركات عصابات ترويج المخدرات في منطقة البقاع، نفذت دورية من مديرية المخابرات تؤازرها وحدة من الجيش، عملية دهم منشأة في بلدة بوادي بعلبك، وضبطت نحو 64 مليون حبة كبتاغون، موضحاً أن تم ضبط 79 برميلاً من المواد الكيميائية المعدة لتصنيع المخدرات، بالإضافة إلى عدد من الآلات المستخدمة لتصنيعها.

وأشار إلى أن هذه من أهم العمليات التي ضُبطت بنتيجتها إحدى أكبر كميات المخدرات داخل الأراضي اللبنانية، مبيناً أنه في متابعة متواصلة لملاحقة تجار المخدرات وتوقيف أفراد العصابة المتورطة في تشغيل المنشأة.
وكان الجيش اللبناني قد أعلن في يوليو الماضي تفكيك أحد أضخم معامل تصنيع الكبتاغون في شرق لبنان.
تهريب الكبتاغون
وتقع منطقة بعلبك شرق لبنان قرب الحدود مع سورية، حيث كان تهريب الكبتاغون منتشراً على نطاق واسع قبل سقوط نظام بشار الأسد، لكنه ومنذ نجاح السلطات السورية الجديدة في السيطرة على الحكم بقيادة الرئيس أحمد الشرع تمكنت من تفكيك عدد من مصانع الكبتاغون التي أعلن حينها أنها كانت تدار من قبل النظام السابق.

ويفرض الجيشان السوري واللبناني إجراءات مشددة على حدود بلادهما، بعد إغلاق عدد من المنافذ غير الرسمية التي كانت متواجدة على طول الحدود بين البلدين، وتشن الدولتان حرباً على تجار المخدرات الذين ينشطون في المناطق الحدودية والتي غالبيتها لها انتماءات وولاءات لمليشيات إرهابية.

79 Barrels for Drug Manufacturing
The Lebanese army wrote on its account on "X": As part of the fight against drug trafficking in various Lebanese regions, and after monitoring and following the movements of drug trafficking gangs in the Bekaa area, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, supported by a unit from the army, carried out a raid on a facility in the town of Bwadi Baalbek, seizing about 64 million Captagon pills. It clarified that 79 barrels of chemicals prepared for drug manufacturing were also seized, in addition to several machines used for production.

It pointed out that this is one of the most important operations that resulted in the seizure of one of the largest quantities of drugs within Lebanese territory, indicating that there is ongoing monitoring to pursue drug dealers and arrest members of the gang involved in operating the facility.
The Lebanese army had announced last July the dismantling of one of the largest Captagon manufacturing labs in eastern Lebanon.
Captagon Smuggling
The Baalbek area is located in eastern Lebanon near the border with Syria, where Captagon smuggling was widespread before the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime. However, since the new Syrian authorities, led by President Ahmad al-Shara, succeeded in taking control of the government, they managed to dismantle several Captagon factories that were said to have been operated by the previous regime.

The Syrian and Lebanese armies impose strict measures on their borders after closing several unofficial crossings that were present along the border between the two countries. Both countries are waging a war against drug traffickers who operate in border areas, most of which have affiliations and loyalties to terrorist militias.
