أعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي العثور على جثمان ضابط احتياط في أحراش بشمال إسرائيل، مبينا أنه انتحر خلال عمله رسميا في صفوف الجيش، وهو ما يرفع عدد العسكريين المنتحرين منذ بداية العام إلى 18 وفقا لوسائل إعلام إسرائيلية.
وأوضحت إذاعة الجيش الإسرائيلي أن الجيش فتح تحقيقا في الأمر، مشيرة إلى أن الضابط ينتمي للفرقة 99 التي تقاتل حاليا في قطاع غزة.
وذكرت صحيفة «يديعوت أحرونوت» أن الضابط الذي يبلغ من العمر 28 عاما شارك في القتال بقطاع غزة في الأسابيع الماضية.
وكان تحقيق للجيش الإسرائيلي نشرت نتائجه في 3 أغسطس الجاري قد أظهر أن معظم حالات الانتحار في صفوفه ناجمة عن ظروف القتال في قطاع غزة.
وذكرت هيئة البث الإسرائيلية أنه منذ بداية الحرب في غزة تم تشخيص نحو 3770 عسكريا باضطراب ما بعد الصدمة.
وبشكل شبه يومي، تعلن كتائب القسام الجناح العسكري لحركة المقاومة الإسلامية (حماس) وسرايا القدس الجناح العسكري لحركة الجهاد الإسلامي مقتل وإصابة جنود إسرائيليين وتدمير آليات عسكرية خلال المعارك في قطاع غزة، وتبث جانبا من عملياتها النوعية بالصوت والصورة.
ومنذ أكتوبر 2023، يشن جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي -بدعم أمريكي- حرب إبادة على سكان قطاع غزة أسفرت، حتى الآن، عن استشهاد أكثر من 61 ألف فلسطيني وإصابة أكثر من 154 ألفا وتشريد سكان القطاع كلهم تقريبا، وسط دمار لم يسبق له مثيل منذ الحرب العالمية الثانية.
