في خطوةٍ وُصفت بأنها الأكبر في تاريخ الدفاع الصاروخي الأمريكي، أعلن الرئيس دونالد ترمب مشروع «القبة الذهبية»، وهو درع صاروخي عملاق يهدف إلى تأمين سماء الولايات المتحدة من أي تهديدات محتملة. المشروع يعتمد على أربع طبقات دفاعية متكاملة، تشمل أنظمة أرضية وجوية وطبقة متقدمة في الفضاء، ما يجعله أضخم من القبة الحديدية الإسرائيلية من حيث النطاق والقدرات.
وبحسب الخطة، سيتم نشر 11 بطارية دفاعية قصيرة المدى موزعة عبر الولايات، إلى جانب إنشاء حقل صواريخ جديد في منطقة الغرب الأوسط، مع تزويد المنظومة بصواريخ اعتراضية فائقة التطور، ورادارات عالية الدقة، وأنظمة ليزر لتعزيز سرعة الرد والدقة في اعتراض الأهداف. التكلفة الإجمالية للمشروع قد تصل إلى 175 مليار دولار، مع استهداف الانتهاء منه بحلول عام 2028.
الكونغرس الأمريكي خصص 25 مليار دولار كبداية، بينما قدم ترمب طلباً بزيادة 45.3 مليار دولار لتسريع التنفيذ. الخبراء يؤكدون أن «القبة الذهبية» ستشكل نقلة نوعية في مفهوم الأمن القومي الأمريكي، وأنها ليست مجرد مشروع دفاعي، بل رسالة ردع إستراتيجية للعالم.
