نجح نظام «سنتوروس» المضاد للطائرات المسيرة، وهو من إنتاج شركة الصناعات الجوية الهيلينية (HAI) اليونانية، في إسقاط طائرتين مسيرتين أطلقتهما جماعة الحوثيين في البحر الأحمر خلال أول اختبار له مع دورية الاتحاد الأوروبي العام الماضي.
النظام، الذي يُعد الأول من نوعه في أوروبا بتجربة قتالية مثبتة، يعزز خطط اليونان لتطوير صناعة محلية للطائرات المسيرة وأنظمة مكافحتها ضمن برنامج دفاعي بقيمة 30 مليار يورو حتى عام 2036.
أظهر نظام «سنتوروس»، المسمى تيمناً بمخلوق أسطوري نصفه إنسان ونصفه حصان، قدرته على كشف الطائرات المسيرة من مسافة 150 كم وإطلاق النار من 25 كم، حيث تمكن من تعطيل الإلكترونيات في طائرتين مسيرتين أخريين، مما أجبرهما على التراجع.
وأوضح كيرياكوس إينوتياديس، مدير الإلكترونيات في HAI، أن النظام سيُدمج في الأسطول البحري اليوناني، مما يعزز قدرات الدفاع الجوي.
يدعم نجاح «سنتوروس» خطط الحكومة اليونانية لتطوير صناعة دفاعية محلية، تشمل إنتاج أنظمة مضادة للطائرات المسيرة وطائرات قتالية بدون طيار، ضمن برنامج بقيمة 30 مليار يورو لتحديث القوات المسلحة.
وأشار بانتيليس تزورتزاكيس، الرئيس التنفيذي للمركز الهيليني للابتكار الدفاعي (HCDI)، إلى استثمار 800 مليون يورو في الابتكار الدفاعي، بهدف تصدير منتجات دفاعية تعادل إنفاق اليونان السنوي على الدفاع (3.5% من الناتج المحلي).
وتعتمد اليونان حالياً على طائرات استطلاع (ISR) مستوردة من فرنسا وإسرائيل، لكن البرنامج الجديد يركز على دمج أنظمة محلية، مثل درع أخيل (Achilles Shield) المضاد للصواريخ.
كما طورت شركة «ألتوس» اليونانية الخاصة، بالتعاون مع شركة MBDA الفرنسية، طائرة «كيرفيروس» المسيرة ذات الإقلاع العمودي، التي تحمل صواريخ مضادة للدبابات بوزن يتجاوز 30 كجم، وتصدر طائرات استطلاع إلى خمس دول.
وتخطط HAI لإنتاج نظامين محمولين مضادين للطائرات المسيرة، «إيبيريون» و«تيليماخوس»، في عام 2026 لحماية القوات من هجمات الطائرات الصغيرة.
كما ستطلق طائرة «أرخيتاس» المسيرة الكبيرة، المسماة تيمناً بالمخترع اليوناني القديم، والتي تهدف إلى أن تكون الأفضل في فئتها، وفقاً لنيكوس كوكلاس، مدير المنتجات الجديدة في HAI.
وأكد إينوتياديس أن «سنتوروس» هو النظام المضاد للطائرات المسيرة الوحيد في أوروبا بتجربة قتالية مثبتة.
وأعرب زاخارياس ساريس، الشريك في «ألتوس»، عن تفاؤله بمستقبل صناعة الطائرات المسيرة اليونانية، مشيراً إلى الحاجة الملحة لهذه التكنولوجيا في ظل الوضع الجيوسياسي المعقد لليونان.
The "Centaurus" anti-drone system, produced by the Hellenic Aerospace Industry (HAI) of Greece, successfully shot down two drones launched by the Houthi group in the Red Sea during its first test with the European Union patrol last year.
The system, which is the first of its kind in Europe with a proven combat experience, enhances Greece's plans to develop a local drone industry and counter-drone systems as part of a defense program worth 30 billion euros by 2036.
The "Centaurus" system, named after a mythical creature that is half human and half horse, demonstrated its ability to detect drones from a distance of 150 km and fire from 25 km, successfully disrupting the electronics of two other drones, forcing them to retreat.
Kyriakos Inotiadis, the electronics director at HAI, explained that the system will be integrated into the Greek naval fleet, enhancing air defense capabilities.
The success of "Centaurus" supports the Greek government's plans to develop a local defense industry, including the production of anti-drone systems and combat drones, within a 30 billion euro program to modernize the armed forces.
Pantelis Tzortzakis, CEO of the Hellenic Center for Defense Innovation (HCDI), mentioned an investment of 800 million euros in defense innovation, aiming to export defense products equivalent to Greece's annual defense spending (3.5% of GDP).
Greece currently relies on reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft imported from France and Israel, but the new program focuses on integrating local systems, such as the Achilles Shield missile defense system.
The private Greek company "Altus," in collaboration with the French company MBDA, has developed the "Kerviros" vertical take-off drone, which carries anti-tank missiles weighing over 30 kg and exports reconnaissance drones to five countries.
HAI plans to produce two portable anti-drone systems, "Iperion" and "Telemachus," in 2026 to protect forces from small drone attacks.
It will also launch the large "Archytas" drone, named after the ancient Greek inventor, which aims to be the best in its class, according to Nikos Koklas, the new products director at HAI.
Inotiadis confirmed that "Centaurus" is the only anti-drone system in Europe with proven combat experience.
Zacharias Saris, a partner at "Altus," expressed optimism about the future of the Greek drone industry, noting the urgent need for this technology given Greece's complex geopolitical situation.
