المبعوث الأمريكي يدعو السوريين إلى حل خلافاتهم بالحوار

U.S. envoy Tom Barrack called on Syrians to resolve their differences through dialogue, emphasizing that Washington supports the unity of Syria.

Barrack stated in a post on the "X" platform yesterday (Monday): "Worrying violence erupted (on Sunday) in Sweida and Manbij." He added: "Diplomacy is the best way to stop the violence and build a peaceful and lasting solution."

Barrack noted that his country "takes pride in helping to mediate a solution in Sweida, and in partnering with France to mediate the reintegration of northeastern Syria into a unified Syria."

He stressed that the way forward is in the hands of the Syrians, calling on all parties to maintain calm and resolve disputes through dialogue, not through bloodshed.

The U.S. envoy affirmed that Syria deserves stability, and Syrians deserve peace.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday that 4 military personnel and 3 civilians were injured as a result of an attack attributed to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the countryside of Manbij in Aleppo province.

In Sweida, a cautious calm prevailed in the province located in southern Syria yesterday, following a day of sporadic clashes that violated the ceasefire agreement signed last month. Syrian security forces reopened the humanitarian corridor of "Busr al-Sham" that connects Daraa and Sweida in the south of the country, after securing the area.

The Syrian news agency "SANA" reported that humanitarian and relief aid is entering Sweida from the direction of Busr al-Sham in the Daraa countryside, as part of the government's efforts to meet the humanitarian needs of the province's residents.

The Syrian Ministry of Interior had temporarily closed the "Busr al-Sham" corridor until it could be secured, while Druze factions locally known as "popular resistance" took control of the Tel al-Hadid area, less than 8 kilometers west of the city of Sweida, before withdrawing in response to the guarantor parties.

SANA reported on Sunday, citing a security source, that internal security forces managed to regain control over several areas in the countryside of Sweida following an attack by "lawless groups."

The Syrian source confirmed that the area is secured by internal security forces, and clashes have stopped, in order to maintain the ceasefire agreement. The Syrian Civil Defense reported to the "Al-Ikhbariya" channel that it secured the exit of 90 families comprising 316 individuals from Sweida province and the entry of 8 families comprising 31 individuals through the humanitarian crossing of "Busr al-Sham."
