أكد رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي السابق إيهود باراك، أن إسرائيل باتت دولة منبوذة في العالم، وأغلبية الشعب فقدت ثقتها في الحكومة. وقال باراك إن «إسرائيل تنهار ويجب تأمل الواقع بشجاعة». واعتبر أن الجيش الإسرائيلي «حقق إنجازات كبيرة في لبنان وإيران وسورية، لكننا عالقون في حرب استنزاف في قطاع غزة».
وعن الوضع في إسرائيل، قال باراك إن الدماء تسيل وعائلات جنود الاحتياط تنهار وتم التخلي عن المخطوفين على مذبح البقاء في السلطة.
واعتبر أن الحراك الوحيد الذي يمكنه إنقاذ إسرائيل يتمثل في «عصيان مدني وإضراب عام حتى تغيير الحكومة أو استقالة رئيسها» في إشارة إلى بنيامين نتنياهو المطلوب للمحكمة الجنائية الدولية لارتكابه جرائم حرب في غزة.
وقال باراك إنه عندما يتم تعطيل إسرائيل كلها فستخضع الحكومة لإرادة الشعب وتُخلّي مكانها لأخرى أفضل منها، وإنه «عندما يخرج مليون إسرائيلي إلى الشوارع فستسقط الحكومة وقد آن الأوان لنخرج جميعا على مدار الأسبوع».
ومنذ 7 أكتوبر الماضي 2023، تشن إسرائيل حرب إبادة جماعية على غزة تشمل القتل والتجويع والتدمير والتهجير القسري، متجاهلة النداءات الدولية كافة وأوامر محكمة العدل الدولية بوقفها.
وأسفرت حرب الإبادة على الشعب الفلسطيني أكثر من 203 آلاف شهيد وجريح معظمهم أطفال ونساء، وما يزيد على 10 آلاف مفقود، إضافة لمئات آلاف النازحين، ومجاعة أزهقت أرواح كثيرين منهم أطفال.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak confirmed that Israel has become a pariah state in the world, and the majority of the people have lost confidence in the government. Barak stated that "Israel is collapsing and we must face reality with courage." He considered that the Israeli army "has achieved significant accomplishments in Lebanon, Iran, and Syria, but we are stuck in a war of attrition in the Gaza Strip."
Regarding the situation in Israel, Barak said that blood is being shed, the families of reserve soldiers are collapsing, and the kidnapped have been abandoned on the altar of remaining in power.
He believed that the only movement that could save Israel is "civil disobedience and a general strike until the government changes or its head resigns," referring to Benjamin Netanyahu, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court for committing war crimes in Gaza.
Barak said that when all of Israel is paralyzed, the government will submit to the will of the people and make way for a better one, and that "when a million Israelis take to the streets, the government will fall, and it is time for all of us to come out throughout the week."
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a campaign of genocide against Gaza that includes killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and the orders of the International Court of Justice to stop.
The genocide against the Palestinian people has resulted in more than 203,000 martyrs and injured, most of whom are children and women, over 10,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, and famine that has claimed the lives of many, including children.
