أعلنت أربعة مصادر أمنية بحرية، اليوم (الأربعاء) غرق سفينة الشحن «إترنيتي سي» التي ترفع علم ليبيريا وتديرها شركة يونانية، بعد هجوم لجماعة الحوثي قبالة سواحل اليمن. وأفادت المصادر بأن جهود إنقاذ الطاقم جارية، مؤكدة أنه تم إنقاذ خمسة أشخاص على الأقل حتى الآن.
وكان مسؤول في شركة الأمن البحري البريطانية «أمبري»، أكدوا أمس الثلاثاء، غرق سفينة الشحن «ماجيك سيز» التي ترفع علم ليبيريا، بعد يوم من إعلان جماعة الحوثيين في اليمن، أنهم شنوا هجوما على السفينة في البحر الأحمر باستخدام الأعيرة النارية والقذائف الصاروخية والزوارق المسيرة الملغمة.
وكانت جماعة الحوثي أكدت، الإثنين، أن ناقلة البضائع التي هاجموها بالصواريخ والزوارق المسيرة الملغمة غرقت في البحر الأحمر، في أول هجوم يستهدف طرق الشحن البحري منذ بداية العام الحالي.
وتبنى الحوثيون مسؤولية الهجوم الذي وقع الأحد، وقالوا إنهم سمحوا لأفراد الطاقم الـ19 بالنزول من ناقلة البضائع «ماجيك سيز» التي ترفع علم ليبيريا.
وشن الحوثيون أكثر من 100 هجوم على سفن في البحر الأحمر وخليج عدن ومضيق باب المندب الذي يربط بينهما.
وحذر وزير البيئة اليمني المهندس توفيق الشرجبي، من مخاطر بيئية جسيمة بعد غرق السفينة «ماجيك سيز» قبالة السواحل اليمنية، مؤكداً أن السفينة كانت تحمل على متنها نحو 35 ألف طن من مادة نترات الأمونيا شديدة الخطورة.

The sources reported that efforts to rescue the crew are ongoing, confirming that at least five people have been rescued so far.

The Houthi group confirmed on Monday that the cargo vessel they attacked with missiles and explosive-laden boats sank in the Red Sea, marking the first attack targeting maritime shipping routes since the beginning of this year.
The Houthis claimed responsibility for the attack that occurred on Sunday, stating that they allowed the 19 crew members to disembark from the cargo vessel "Magic Seas," which flies the Liberian flag.
The Houthis have launched more than 100 attacks on ships in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait that connects them.
The Yemeni Minister of Environment, Engineer Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, warned of serious environmental risks following the sinking of the "Magic Seas" off the Yemeni coast, confirming that the ship was carrying approximately 35,000 tons of highly dangerous ammonium nitrate.
