جدد وزير الخارجية السعودي الأمير فيصل بن فرحان ونظيره الروسي سيرغي لافروف، الدعوة إلى حل خلافات المنطقة بالدبلوماسية والحوار، مشددين على دعم إقامة دولة فلسطينية على حدود 1967.
وقال الأمير فيصل في مؤتمر صحفي مشترك في موسكو، اليوم (الجمعة)، إن التطورات المتسارعة في الشرق الأوسط تفرض تعزيز التعاون والحوار البناء، مؤكداً ضرورة تغليب لغة الحوار والدبلوماسية في الشرق الأوسط وغيره من المناطق.
وشدد وزير الخارجية السعودي على أهمية النهج الدبلوماسي بشأن برنامج إيران النووي، مؤكداً رفض الحلول العسكرية والدفع نحو التفاوض، وجدد التأكيد على أن استخدام القوة لحل الخلافات السياسية مرفوض.
ودعا لافروف إلى القيام بكل ما هو ضروري لاستئناف التفاوض مع إيران والعودة للدبلوماسية، معرباً عن أمله أن تدرك الدول الأوروبية مسؤولياتها بشأن العلاقة بين إيران والوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية.
وقال الوزير الروسي: «نأمل أن تبدي إيران ودول الخليج ما يكفي من الحكمة لتجنب التصعيد وعودة التوتر إلى المنطقة»، وأكد ضرورة استدامة الهدنة، مؤملاً أن تكون الحرب بين إيران وإسرائيل قد انتهت.
وبشأن العدوان الإسرائيلي المتواصل على قطاع غزة، جدد الوزيران دعم بلديهما لإقامة دولة فلسطينية على حدود 1967، وأكدا مجدداً على ضرورة اتباع نهج الحوار والدبلوماسية. وأشاد فيصل بن فرحان بموقف روسيا المبدئي في ما يتعلق بالقضية الفلسطينية.
وقال فيصل بن فرحان إن بلاده تدعو لوقف فوري دائم ومستدام لإطلاق النار في قطاع غزة كمقدمة لإقامة الدولة الفلسطينية، لأن الأولوية يجب أن تكون الآن لوقف إطلاق النار وإنهاء المعاناة الفظيعة في القطاع.
وأفاد بأن الرياض تبحث كيفية الانتقال من وقف لإطلاق النار في قطاع غزة للوصول إلى حل مستدام للصراع، كما تتشاور مع فرنسا لتحديد موعد مناسب لإطلاق مؤتمر بشأن إقامة الدولة الفلسطينية. وقال: «لا نريد تأجيل الحوار وحل المشكلات لوقت قد يكون أصعب من اليوم، ونعول على قيادة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب للوصول إلى حل نهائي للصراع الفلسطيني الإسرائيلي».
وأعلن لافروف أن موسكو تشجع المفاوضات بين إسرائيل والفلسطينيين للتقدم نحو إقامة الدولة الفلسطينية، مؤكداً ضرورة خفض التصعيد وتقديم المساعدات الإنسانية لقطاع غزة.
وحول الصراع في أوكرانيا والوضع في سورية، قال لافروف إن موسكو تدعم حلاً سياسياً دون القضاء على الأسباب الجذرية للصراع، كما تدعم حلاً شاملاً للنزاع في سورية مع الحفاظ على وحدة أراضيها.
The Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov renewed the call for resolving regional disputes through diplomacy and dialogue, emphasizing support for the establishment of a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders.
Prince Faisal stated at a joint press conference in Moscow today (Friday) that the rapid developments in the Middle East necessitate enhancing cooperation and constructive dialogue, affirming the need to prioritize the language of dialogue and diplomacy in the Middle East and other regions.
The Saudi Foreign Minister stressed the importance of a diplomatic approach regarding Iran's nuclear program, reiterating the rejection of military solutions and pushing for negotiations, and reaffirmed that the use of force to resolve political disputes is unacceptable.
Lavrov called for doing everything necessary to resume negotiations with Iran and return to diplomacy, expressing hope that European countries would recognize their responsibilities regarding the relationship between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The Russian minister said: “We hope that Iran and the Gulf states will show enough wisdom to avoid escalation and the return of tension to the region,” and emphasized the necessity of sustaining the ceasefire, hoping that the war between Iran and Israel has ended.
Regarding the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, both ministers renewed their countries' support for the establishment of a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, and reiterated the need to follow a path of dialogue and diplomacy. Faisal bin Farhan praised Russia's principled stance regarding the Palestinian issue.
Faisal bin Farhan stated that his country calls for an immediate, permanent, and sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip as a precursor to establishing the Palestinian state, as the priority must now be to stop the fire and end the horrific suffering in the sector.
He indicated that Riyadh is exploring how to transition from a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to a sustainable solution to the conflict, and is consulting with France to determine a suitable date to launch a conference on the establishment of the Palestinian state. He said: “We do not want to postpone dialogue and problem-solving to a time that may be harder than today, and we rely on the leadership of President Donald Trump to reach a final solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.”
Lavrov announced that Moscow encourages negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians to advance towards the establishment of a Palestinian state, emphasizing the necessity of de-escalation and providing humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip.
Regarding the conflict in Ukraine and the situation in Syria, Lavrov stated that Moscow supports a political solution without eliminating the root causes of the conflict, and also supports a comprehensive solution to the conflict in Syria while preserving its territorial integrity.
