The security forces in Marib Governorate thwarted a Houthi sabotage plan today (Wednesday) aimed at destabilizing security and stability and disturbing public peace in the governorate. According to a security source in the Marib Police, the cell was about to carry out sabotage activities targeting the displaced.

The source explained that the security forces arrested the cell members while they were in the act, in possession of evidence proving their direct connection to Houthi leaders in Sanaa, following a careful monitoring and tracking operation of the movements of those suspected elements. The source indicated that the arrested cell belongs to a secret network working for the Houthis as part of a plan aimed at spreading chaos and undermining security in the governorate.

The source noted that the security forces are dealing firmly with Houthi elements and their sleeper cells, preemptively thwarting any terrorist plots, vowing to strike with an iron fist against anyone who dares to threaten security and stability.

He emphasized: "The security forces will firmly confront any attempts aimed at destabilizing public peace in the community," praising the cooperation of citizens with the security forces and their role in maintaining security and stability.

The security source called for continued reporting of any suspicious movements or individuals, considering this a collective responsibility that requires concerted efforts between security forces and the community.

In April, the security forces arrested a Houthi element who was planning to carry out an operation targeting a leader in the Yemeni army, after which a large terrorist cell was arrested that he was working within to target security and military leaders.
