وسط تزايد التهديدات بين إيران وإسرائيل وتراجع الهجمات، جدد الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيريش اليوم (الأربعاء) دعوته إلى التهدئة الفورية للتصعيد العسكري بما يفضي إلى وقف إطلاق النار، محذراً من تدويل الصراع.
وقال غوتيريش في بيان تلاه المتحدث باسمه ستيفان دوجاريك: إنه لا يزال يشعر بقلق عميق إزاء التصعيد العسكري المستمر في الشرق الأوسط، مؤكداً أن أي تدخلات عسكرية إضافية قد تنجم عنها عواقب وخيمة، وليس فقط على الأطراف المعنية بل على المنطقة بأسرها وعلى السلام والأمن الدوليين عموماً.ودان الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة الخسائر المأساوية وغير الضرورية في الأرواح والإصابات بين المدنيين، والأضرار التي لحقت بالمنازل والبنية التحتية المدنية الحيوية، مؤكداً أن الدبلوماسية لا تزال السبيل الأمثل والوحيد لمعالجة المخاوف المتعلقة بالبرنامج النووي الإيراني وقضايا الأمن الإقليمي.وكان الحرس الثوري الإيراني قد قال إنه أطلق صواريخ «سجيل» الثقيلة بعيدة المدى في الهجمات على إسرائيل، متوعداً إسرائيل بالمزيد.بالمقابل، قال المتحدث باسم الجيش الإسرائيلي إيفي دفرين: نركز على طهران ونستهدف مواقع للأسلحة النووية ومنشآت عدة بالقرب منها خصوصاً منظومات الصواريخ.وأشار إلى إن قواته دمرت 3 مروحيات عسكرية من طراز «كوبرا» إثر استهداف قاعدة عسكرية في منطقة كرمنشاه في إيران.وكانت وكالة الأنباء الإيرانية قد قالت إن الكيان الصهيوني استهدف موقع مبنى الهلال الأحمر الإيراني في طهران.من جهة أخرى، قالت صحيفة «يسرائيل هيوم» إنه لأول مرة منذ الحرب مع إيران سيُسمح للأجانب والدبلوماسيين بمغادرة البلاد جوّاً، ولن يسمح للإسرائيليين بالإقلاع إلا بموافقة لجنة استثناءات.
Amid increasing threats between Iran and Israel and a decrease in attacks, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres renewed his call today (Wednesday) for an immediate de-escalation of military escalation leading to a ceasefire, warning against the internationalization of the conflict.
Guterres stated in a statement read by his spokesperson, Stefan Dujarric, that he remains deeply concerned about the ongoing military escalation in the Middle East, emphasizing that any additional military interventions could have dire consequences, not only for the parties involved but for the entire region and for international peace and security in general. The UN Secretary-General condemned the tragic and unnecessary loss of life and injuries among civilians, as well as the damage to homes and vital civilian infrastructure, asserting that diplomacy remains the best and only way to address concerns related to the Iranian nuclear program and regional security issues. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard had stated that it launched long-range "Sejjil" missiles in attacks on Israel, threatening Israel with more to come. In contrast, Israeli army spokesperson Ivi Dvirin said: "We are focusing on Tehran and targeting nuclear weapon sites and several facilities near it, especially missile systems." He noted that his forces destroyed three Cobra military helicopters following an attack on a military base in the Kermanshah region of Iran. The Iranian news agency reported that the Zionist entity targeted a site of the Iranian Red Crescent building in Tehran. On another note, the newspaper "Israel Hayom" stated that for the first time since the war with Iran, foreigners and diplomats will be allowed to leave the country by air, while Israelis will only be permitted to take off with the approval of an exceptions committee.
