After about 7 months since the assassination of the former head of Hamas's political bureau, Yahya Sinwar, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed today (Sunday) that all indicators confirm the death of the commander of the Khan Younis Brigade, Mohammed Sinwar. Informed sources reported the discovery of the bodies of Yahya Sinwar's brother and 10 of his aides inside a tunnel in Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip.

It was reported that the death of Mohammed Sinwar, who leads the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, was confirmed due to Israeli airstrikes days ago around the European Hospital east of Khan Younis. Sources also confirmed the death of the commander of the Rafah Brigade, Mohammed Shabana, in the Israeli airstrikes along with Sinwar.

The occupation forces broadcast what they claimed were scenes of the moment Yahya Sinwar's brother was targeted in the southern Gaza Strip by an airstrike on a hideout beneath the hospital.

The video, published by the Israeli Broadcasting Authority last Wednesday, showed the moment the "hideout beneath the European Gaza Hospital" was struck, igniting a fire at the attack site.

Local sources confirmed the death of Zakaria Sinwar, the second brother of Yahya Sinwar, who was a professor of modern and contemporary history at the Islamic University of Gaza, along with his children. It was clarified that he was killed in an Israeli army bombardment on his tent in Al-Nuseirat yesterday (Saturday).

It is noteworthy that Mohammed Sinwar became the leader of Hamas's military wing after Israel killed his brother (in October 2024) and Mohammed Deif (in July 2024), whom they consider the masterminds behind the attacks of October 7, 2023.
