أطلق محافظ الطائف الأمير سعود بن نهار بن سعود بن عبدالعزيز، اليوم (الأحد)، أعمال المؤتمر العالمي للسياحة العلاجية خلال الفترة (7-8 سبتمبر 2025) بمشاركة نخبة من الخبراء والمتخصصين من داخل المملكة وخارجها.
المملكة وجهة علاجية رائدة
وشهدت بداية أعمال المؤتمر حفلاً خطابياً بُدئ بعرض مرئي حول السياحة العلاجية، أعقبته كلمة لرئيس اللجنة العلمية للمؤتمر الدكتور طلال بن عبدالله المالكي، تحدث فيها عن أهمية المؤتمر الذي يجمع كبار الخبراء والمهنيين من جميع أنحاء العالم لتبادل الأفكار الخبرات، تلت ذلك كلمة لرئيس مجلس إدارة الجمعية التعاونية للسياحة العلاجية المستشار سلطان بن عبدالعزيز السعدون، تحدث فيها عن هدف المؤتمر بترسيخ مكانة المملكة وجهة رائدة تجمع بين الصحة والسياحة والاستشفاء، مشيراً إلى أن المؤتمر يأتي امتداداً لرؤية المملكة 2030 في تنويع الاقتصاد، وتعزيز جودة الحياة، وفتح آفاق جديدة للاستثمار والشراكات الدولية في قطاع واعد يتكامل مع مقوماتنا الطبيعية والبشرية.
مذكرات تفاهم لتعزيز السياحة العلاجية
بعدها شهد محافظ الطائف - على هامش المؤتمر - توقيع عدد من مذكرات التفاهم لتطوير خدمات متكاملة تدعم قطاع السياحة العلاجية وتفتح آفاقاً جديدة للتعاون الإقليمي والدولي.
ودشن الأمير سعود بن نهار المعرض المصاحب للمؤتمر الذي شهد مشاركة عدد من الجهات الحكومية والصحية والجهات الراعية للمؤتمر، والقطاع الخاص، وكذلك الورد الطائفي ومشتقاته.
جلسات علمية تبحث الفرص والتحديات
بعدها بدأت الجلسات الحوارية والعلمية للمؤتمر بمشاركة أكثر من 16 متحدثاً ومختصاً وخبيراً في مجال السياحة العلاجية من داخل المملكة وخارجها، تناولت الفرص والتحديات في هذا المجال.
The Governor of Taif, Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, today (Sunday) launched the global conference on medical tourism, which will take place from September 7-8, 2025, with the participation of a select group of experts and specialists from within the Kingdom and abroad.
The Kingdom as a Leading Therapeutic Destination
The conference began with a ceremonial session that started with a visual presentation on medical tourism, followed by a speech from the Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the conference, Dr. Talal bin Abdullah Al-Maliki, who spoke about the importance of the conference in bringing together top experts and professionals from around the world to exchange ideas and experiences. This was followed by a speech from the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cooperative Association for Medical Tourism, Advisor Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Sadoun, who discussed the conference's goal of establishing the Kingdom as a leading destination that combines health, tourism, and wellness. He pointed out that the conference aligns with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in diversifying the economy, enhancing quality of life, and opening new horizons for investment and international partnerships in a promising sector that complements our natural and human resources.
Memoranda of Understanding to Enhance Medical Tourism
Following this, the Governor of Taif witnessed, on the sidelines of the conference, the signing of several memoranda of understanding to develop integrated services that support the medical tourism sector and open new avenues for regional and international cooperation.
Prince Saud bin Nahar inaugurated the accompanying exhibition of the conference, which saw participation from several government and health entities, as well as sponsors of the conference and the private sector, along with Taif roses and their derivatives.
Scientific Sessions Discussing Opportunities and Challenges
The conference then proceeded with dialogue and scientific sessions featuring more than 16 speakers, specialists, and experts in the field of medical tourism from within the Kingdom and abroad, addressing the opportunities and challenges in this field.
