صرح المتحدث باسم وزارة الداخلية العميد طلال بن عبدالمحسن بن شلهوب، بأن المتابعة الأمنية الاستباقية لنشاطات الشبكات الإجرامية التي تمتهن تهريب المخدرات، وبناءً على معلومات قدّمتها وزارة الداخلية السعودية ممثلة في المديرية العامة لمكافحة المخدرات للجهاز النظير في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، أحبطت السلطات الإماراتية محاولة تهريب 89,760 قرصاً من مادة الإمفيتامين المخدر، مخبأة في شحنة كماليات ملابس (إكسسوارات).
وأكد المتحدث الأمني أن المملكة مستمرة في متابعة النشاطات الإجرامية التي تستهدف أمن المملكة وشبابها والدول الشقيقة والصديقة بالمخدرات، والتصدي لها وإحباطها.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Major Talal bin Abdul Mohsen bin Shalhoub, stated that the proactive security monitoring of the activities of criminal networks involved in drug trafficking, based on information provided by the Saudi Ministry of Interior represented by the General Directorate for Drug Control to its counterpart agency in the United Arab Emirates, led to the thwarting of an attempt to smuggle 89,760 tablets of the narcotic substance amphetamine, hidden in a shipment of clothing accessories.
The security spokesperson confirmed that the Kingdom continues to monitor criminal activities that target the security of the Kingdom and its youth, as well as the brotherly and friendly countries through drugs, and to confront and thwart them.
