أعربت وزارة الخارجية عن قلق المملكة العربية السعودية البالغ إزاء إعلان حالة المجاعة رسمياً في قطاع غزة، وفقاً لتقرير التصنيف المرحلي المتكامل للأمن الغذائي (IPC)، مشيرة إلى أن ما يحدث يمثل جرائم إبادة جماعية يرتكبها جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بحق المدنيين العزل.
وأكدت المملكة أن تفاقم الكارثة الإنسانية في غزة هو نتيجة مباشرة لغياب آليات الردع والمحاسبة الدولية تجاه جرائم الاحتلال الإسرائيلي المتكررة، وستظل وصمة عار على جبين المجتمع الدولي، وفي مقدمتهم الدول دائمة العضوية في مجلس الأمن، ما لم يسارع بالتدخل الفوري لإنهاء المجاعة ووقف جرائم الإبادة التي ترتكب بحق الشعب الفلسطيني.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's deep concern regarding the official declaration of famine in the Gaza Strip, according to the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) report, noting that what is happening constitutes acts of genocide committed by the Israeli occupation army against unarmed civilians.
The Kingdom affirmed that the worsening humanitarian disaster in Gaza is a direct result of the absence of international deterrence and accountability mechanisms regarding the repeated crimes of the Israeli occupation, and it will remain a stain on the conscience of the international community, particularly the permanent members of the Security Council, unless there is immediate intervention to end the famine and halt the acts of genocide being committed against the Palestinian people.
