تنفيذ حُكم القتل تعزيرًا في مواطن خطف وقتل قاضياً بالقطيف

The Ministry of Interior issued a statement today regarding the implementation of the death penalty by judicial discretion against Jlal bin Hassan bin Abdulkarim Labad - a Saudi national - for committing terrorist crimes, which included joining a foreign terrorist organization, and his involvement with other wanted individuals in the kidnapping and murder of the judge in the Department of Awqaf and Inheritance in the Qatif Governorate, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jirani, as well as shooting at and throwing explosives at security personnel with the intent to kill them.

Thanks to God, the security authorities were able to arrest the aforementioned individual, and the investigation led to charges being brought against him for committing those crimes. He was referred to the competent court, which issued a ruling confirming the charges against him and sentencing him to death by judicial discretion. The ruling became final after being appealed and upheld by the Supreme Court, and a royal order was issued to enforce what was decided legally.

The death penalty was carried out against the perpetrator today, Thursday, 27/02/1447 AH, corresponding to 21/08/2025, in the Eastern Province.

The Ministry of Interior announces this to reaffirm the commitment of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to maintaining security, achieving justice, and implementing Islamic law against anyone who transgresses against the safe or sheds their blood, violating their right to life and security. At the same time, it warns anyone who might contemplate such actions that the legal punishment will be their fate.
