أكدت وزارة الصحة أن المنظومة الصحية الوطنية أثبتت حضورها على الساحة الدولية من خلال إنجازات نوعية أبرزها اعتماد 16 مدينة صحية، منها مدينتا جدة والمدينة المنورة اللتان تُعدّان أول مدينتين صحيتين مليونيتين في الشرق الأوسط، وفق معايير منظمة الصحة العالمية، ما يجسّد نجاح الوزارة ممثلة ببرنامج المدن الصحية في تعزيز جودة الحياة، بالشراكة مع مختلف الجهات الحكومية والمجتمعية، من خلال تطبيق أكثر من 80 معيارا دوليّا موزعا على 9 محاور رئيسية تغطي مجالات الصحة والتنمية والاستدامة.
وحققت المملكة تقدما بارزا في مجال البحث العلمي والابتكار الطبي؛ إذ صُنفت دراسة أجراها مستشفى الملك فيصل التخصصي حول زراعة الكبد باستخدام الروبوت ضمن قائمة أعلى 10 أبحاث مؤثرة عالميّا لعام 2024، وفق الجمعية الأمريكية لزراعة الأعضاء، وأُدرجت 7 مستشفيات سعودية في قائمة «براند فاينانس» لأفضل 250 مستشفى في العالم لعام 2025، ما يجسّد قوة البنية التحتية الصحية وقدرتها التنافسية عالميّا، وانعكاس ذلك على جودة وكفاءة الخدمات المقدمة للمستفيدين.
وأوضحت «الصحة» أن هذه المنجزات تجسد مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030 من خلال محور «مجتمع حيوي» في تحسين جودة الحياة، ومحور «اقتصاد مزدهر» في دعم الابتكار والبحث العلمي، مؤكدة أن ما تحقق هو ثمرة تكامل الجهود بين المنظومة الصحية ومختلف القطاعات، لترسيخ موقع المملكة محورا إقليميا ووجهة عالمية في الرعاية الصحية المتقدمة.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that the national health system has established its presence on the international stage through significant achievements, most notably the accreditation of 16 health cities, including the cities of Jeddah and Medina, which are considered the first two million-population health cities in the Middle East, according to the standards of the World Health Organization. This reflects the ministry's success, represented by the Healthy Cities Program, in enhancing the quality of life in partnership with various governmental and community entities, by applying more than 80 international standards distributed across 9 main axes covering health, development, and sustainability.
The Kingdom has made remarkable progress in the field of scientific research and medical innovation; a study conducted by King Faisal Specialist Hospital on liver transplantation using robotics was ranked among the top 10 most influential research studies globally for 2024, according to the American Society of Transplantation. Additionally, 7 Saudi hospitals were listed in the "Brand Finance" list of the top 250 hospitals in the world for 2025, which exemplifies the strength of the health infrastructure and its global competitiveness, reflecting on the quality and efficiency of the services provided to beneficiaries.
The Ministry of Health clarified that these achievements embody the targets of Saudi Vision 2030 through the "Vibrant Society" axis in improving quality of life and the "Thriving Economy" axis in supporting innovation and scientific research, emphasizing that what has been achieved is the result of the integration of efforts between the health system and various sectors, to establish the Kingdom as a regional hub and a global destination for advanced healthcare.
