The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced the implementation of decisions to raise localization rates in various sectors starting from yesterday (Sunday), in partnership with several supervisory entities (Ministry of Health, Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs) for the professions of pharmacy, dentistry, and also engineering technical professions; enhancing the participation of national cadres, and as part of efforts aimed at providing more stimulating and productive job opportunities for citizens in various regions of the Kingdom.

The decision to raise localization rates in pharmacy professions is implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Health, with a localization rate of 35% for community pharmacies and medical complexes, 65% for pharmacy activities in hospitals, and 55% for other pharmacy activities. This decision applies to establishments employing 5 or more workers in pharmacy professions, with a minimum wage set for localization calculations at 7,000 Riyals. The decision to raise localization rates for dentistry professions will be implemented at a rate of 45% in its first phase, and it applies to establishments employing 3 or more workers in dentistry professions, in addition to raising the minimum wage for dentistry professions for localization calculations to 9,000 Riyals.

The decision to raise localization rates for engineering technical professions is implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs to a rate of 30% of the total number of workers in the targeted professions starting today. This decision applies to all private sector establishments employing 5 or more workers in engineering technical professions, with a minimum wage set for localization calculations at 5,000 Riyals.

Calling on all establishments to adhere to the implementation to avoid the statutory penalties imposed on violators.
