أكدت وزارة البيئة والمياه والزراعة، أن تحقيق التكامل بين منظومة «البيئة»، وهيئات التعليم والتدريب في القطاعات العسكرية يمثل خطوة حيوية وركيزة أساسية لتحقيق استدامة البيئة، من خلال تظافر الجهود وتنسيق الأنشطة بين جميع الأطراف المعنية، والتخطيط المشترك، وتبادل المعلومات والخبرات، وتطوير الكفاءات، ودعم البحث العلمي، والمشاركة في تنفيذ المبادرات البيئية.
جاء ذلك خلال ورشة عمل تحت عنوان «تحقيق التكامل بين وكالة البيئة والقطاعات العسكرية لتحقيق مستهدفات مبادرتَي التوعية البيئية والتعليم البيئي»، التي نظمتها الوزارة بالرياض بحضور وكيل الوزارة لشؤون البيئة الدكتور أسامة فقيها، وعددٍ من المسؤولين المعنيين بالبيئة والمناخ وقيادات التعليم والتدريب في القطاعات العسكرية.
وهدفت الورشة إلى تعزيز التعاون وتبادل الخبرات ورصد التحديات، ودعم التكامل لإدراج مقررات بيئية في الكليات والمعاهد العسكرية، ودبلومات بيئية متخصصة تلائم طبيعة عمل القطاعات العسكرية، للإسهام في رفع كفاءة الأداء، وتحقيق الاستخدام الرشيد للموارد.
وأكد وكيل الوزارة لشؤون البيئة الدكتور أسامة فقيها، أن الورشة تأتي في إطار جهود الوزارة لتفعيل دور الجهات الحكومية والخاصة في مجالات حماية البيئة، وتعزيز الاستدامة البيئية، والارتقاء بالتنسيق المؤسسي، والإسهام في تطوير برامج تعليمية وتوعوية وتدريبية بيئية متخصصة؛ لبناء القدرات الوطنية في مجالات البيئة، تحقيقًا لمستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
واستعرضت الورشة تعزيز التعاون والتكامل في مجالي التوعية وبناء القدرات ضمن مبادرتي التعليم البيئي والتوعية البيئية، وتحقيق المستهدفات البيئية الوطنية، ومعرفة أبرز التحديات، والتعريف بالإستراتيجية الوطنية للبيئية، والأنظمة البيئية في المملكة، ومنجزات ومبادرات المملكة الوطنية والدولية في القطاع.
كما ناقشت الورشة أطر التعاون والتنسيق بين جهات المنظومة والقطاعات العسكرية؛ في مجال التوعية والتعليم البيئي، وتفعيل مبادرة التوعية البيئية، وأسبوع البيئة، والمناسبات البيئية الوطنية والدولية، واقتراح برنامج تدريبي «حماة البيئة»، ودبلوم حماية البيئة.
وأوصت الورشة بأهمية التكامل وتعزيز التواصل والإسهام في تحقيق أهداف رؤية المملكة 2030، المتعلقة بالحفاظ على البيئة وأهداف التنمية المستدامة.
The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture confirmed that achieving integration between the "environment" system and educational and training bodies in the military sectors represents a vital step and a fundamental pillar for achieving environmental sustainability, through the concerted efforts and coordination of activities among all stakeholders, joint planning, information and experience exchange, capacity development, support for scientific research, and participation in implementing environmental initiatives.
This was stated during a workshop titled "Achieving Integration Between the Environmental Agency and Military Sectors to Achieve the Objectives of the Environmental Awareness and Environmental Education Initiatives," organized by the ministry in Riyadh, attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Environmental Affairs, Dr. Osama Faqih, and several officials concerned with the environment and climate, as well as leaders in education and training in the military sectors.
The workshop aimed to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences, identify challenges, and support integration to include environmental curricula in military colleges and institutes, as well as specialized environmental diplomas that suit the nature of work in military sectors, to contribute to improving performance efficiency and achieving the prudent use of resources.
Dr. Osama Faqih, the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Environmental Affairs, emphasized that the workshop comes as part of the ministry's efforts to activate the role of government and private entities in the fields of environmental protection, promote environmental sustainability, enhance institutional coordination, and contribute to the development of specialized educational, awareness, and training programs in environmental matters; in order to build national capacities in environmental fields, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The workshop reviewed the enhancement of cooperation and integration in the fields of awareness and capacity building within the environmental education and awareness initiatives, achieving national environmental targets, identifying key challenges, introducing the national environmental strategy, the environmental systems in the Kingdom, and the Kingdom's national and international achievements and initiatives in the sector.
The workshop also discussed frameworks for cooperation and coordination between the entities of the system and military sectors in the field of environmental awareness and education, activating the environmental awareness initiative, Environment Week, and national and international environmental events, and proposing a training program titled "Guardians of the Environment," along with an environmental protection diploma.
The workshop recommended the importance of integration, enhancing communication, and contributing to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 related to environmental preservation and sustainable development goals.
