بحضور نائب وزير التعليم الدكتورة إيناس بنت سليمان العيسى، والدكتور فهد بن عبد الله الدوسري رئيس الهيئة العامة للإحصاء، ووكيل الوزارة للتخطيط المهندس سعد بن عبدالغني الغامدي، والأمين العام لإدارات التعليم حمد بن ناصر الوهيبي وعدد من مديري الإدارات التعليمية وقيادات الهيئة ومنسوبيها، أقامت الهيئة العامة للإحصاء حفلاً لتكريم الإدارات التعليمية الفائزة في مسابقة المعرفة الإحصائية، والتي نظمت نسختها الأولى بالشراكة مع وزارة التعليم في عام 2024م وشهدت تفاعلاً كبيراً بمشاركة 243,245 طالباً وطالبة من 16 إدارة تعليمية من مختلف مناطق المملكة ومحافظاتها.
وأظهرت نتائج المسابقة أن الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمنطقة الرياض كانت الأكثر مشاركةً حيث بلغ عدد الطلاب والطالبات المشاركين منها 46,635 طالباً وطالبة، بنسبة 21.0% من إجمالي المشاركين، يليهم طلاب وطالبات الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمحافظة الطائف والذين بلغ عددهم 38,953 طالباً وطالبة، بنسبة 17.5%، ثم طلاب وطالبات الإدارة العامة للتعليم بالمنطقة الشرقية في المرتبة الثالثة، وبلغ عددهم 38,030 طالباً وطالبة وبلغت نسبتهم من مجموع المشاركين 17.1%، فيما بلغ عدد طلاب وطالبات التعليم العام المشاركين من الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمنطقة مكة المكرمة 20,183 طالباً وطالبة، وجاؤوا في المرتبة الرابعة بنسبة 9.1% من إجمالي المشاركين، وحلَّ طلاب وطالبات الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمنطقة القصيم في المرتبة الخامسة؛ إذ بلغ عدد المشاركين منهم 17,692 طالباً وطالبة، بنسبة 8.0%.
من جهته أشاد رئيس الهيئة العامة للإحصاء الدكتور فهد الدوسري في كلمته، بالشراكة المثمرة بين الهيئة العامة للإحصاء ووزارة التعليم، مثنياً على جهود الإدارات التعليمية التي بُذلت في تحقيق المراكز الأولى على مستوى حجم مشاركة الطلاب والطالبات في مسابقة المعرفة الإحصائية؛ الأمر الذي أثمر نتائج متميزة لهذه المبادرة النوعية.
وأضاف الدوسري أن «مسابقة المعرفة الإحصائية جاءت من أجل تعزيز الوعي الإحصائي لدى الطلاب والطالبات وتنمية مهاراتهم نحو التفكير النقدي، والتعامل الواعي مع المعلومات والمؤشرات الإحصائية من مصادرها الموثوقة»، معرباً في الوقت ذاته عن خالص الشكر والتقدير لمعالي الأستاذ يوسف البنيان وزير التعليم على الدعم الكبير الذي حظي به البرنامج من معاليه، الأمر الذي أسهم بقوة في نجاح النسخة الأولى، وعبَّر رئيس الهيئة العامة للإحصاء عن تطلعه إلى أن تكون النسخة الثانية من المسابقة أكثر نجاحاً وتميزاً، والتي ستنطلق خلال العام الدراسي القادم، وأن تكون فرصة جديدة لتعزيز الوعي بالعمل الإحصائي، وبيان دوره المهم في حياة الفرد، ونجاح برامج التنمية على اختلافها.
تجدر الإشارة إلى أن مسابقة المعرفة الإحصائية ستطلق نسختها الثانية خلال العام الدراسي القادم 1447ه، وسوف يواكب ذلك الاحتفال الدولي باليوم العالمي للإحصاء، والذي يقام كل خمس سنوات، ويشمل برنامج المعرفة الإحصائية أنشطة متنوعة، منها استثمار الإذاعة المدرسية لتعريف الطلاب بأهمية العمل الإحصائي، وبيان دوره في التنمية، وتنظيم زيارات ميدانية من قِبل منسوبي الهيئة العامة للإحصاء إلى المدارس لتقديم برامج تطبيقية وإثرائية، كما يوفر البرنامج أدلة معرفية متخصصة تشمل المصطلحات الإحصائية، والتصانيف المهنية، وسياسات كتابة الأرقام، إضافة إلى توضيح وشرح بعض المفاهيم مثل المؤشرات الإحصائية، وتدريب الطلاب على التعامل مع مصادر البيانات الإحصائية التي تسهم بدورها في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة، وإنجاز مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030.
In the presence of the Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Inas bint Suleiman Al-Issa, Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Dosari, Chairman of the General Authority for Statistics, the Ministry's Planning Undersecretary, Engineer Saad bin Abdulghani Al-Ghamdi, the Secretary-General of the Education Departments, Hamad bin Nasser Al-Wuhaibi, along with several directors of educational departments and leaders of the authority and its staff, the General Authority for Statistics held a ceremony to honor the winning educational departments in the Statistical Knowledge Competition, which organized its first edition in partnership with the Ministry of Education in 2024, witnessing significant interaction with the participation of 243,245 male and female students from 16 educational departments across various regions and governorates of the Kingdom.
The results of the competition showed that the General Department of Education in the Riyadh Region had the highest participation, with 46,635 male and female students participating from it, accounting for 21.0% of the total participants. They were followed by the students of the General Department of Education in Taif Governorate, with 38,953 male and female students, representing 17.5%. Then, the students of the General Department of Education in the Eastern Province ranked third, with 38,030 male and female students, making up 17.1% of the total participants. Meanwhile, the number of male and female students participating from the General Department of Education in the Makkah Region reached 20,183, placing them fourth with 9.1% of the total participants. The students of the General Department of Education in the Qassim Region ranked fifth, with 17,692 male and female students participating, accounting for 8.0%.
For his part, the Chairman of the General Authority for Statistics, Dr. Fahd Al-Dosari, praised in his speech the fruitful partnership between the General Authority for Statistics and the Ministry of Education, commending the efforts of the educational departments that contributed to achieving the top positions in terms of student participation in the Statistical Knowledge Competition, which resulted in outstanding outcomes for this qualitative initiative.
Al-Dosari added that "the Statistical Knowledge Competition was launched to enhance statistical awareness among male and female students and to develop their skills towards critical thinking and conscious engagement with information and statistical indicators from their reliable sources," while also expressing his sincere gratitude and appreciation to His Excellency Mr. Youssef Al-Bunyan, Minister of Education, for the significant support the program received from him, which strongly contributed to the success of the first edition. The Chairman of the General Authority for Statistics expressed his hope that the second edition of the competition would be even more successful and distinguished, set to launch during the upcoming academic year, providing a new opportunity to enhance awareness of statistical work and demonstrate its important role in individual lives and the success of various development programs.
It is worth noting that the Statistical Knowledge Competition will launch its second edition during the upcoming academic year 1447 AH, coinciding with the international celebration of World Statistics Day, which is held every five years. The Statistical Knowledge Program includes various activities, such as utilizing school broadcasts to inform students about the importance of statistical work and its role in development, organizing field visits by the staff of the General Authority for Statistics to schools to provide practical and enriching programs, as well as offering specialized knowledge guides that include statistical terms, professional classifications, and policies for writing numbers, in addition to clarifying and explaining some concepts such as statistical indicators, and training students to engage with statistical data sources that contribute to achieving sustainable development and accomplishing the targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
