محمية الإمام تركي تفعّل اليوم العالمي لمكافحة التصحر.. «معاً لبيئة أكثر ازدهاراً»

The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve confirmed its commitment to enhancing environmental sustainability and protecting natural resources during its observance of World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, which falls on June 17 each year, under the slogan "Restoring the Land... and Opening Doors to Opportunities." It highlighted its qualitative efforts in restoring ecosystems through various programs that include increasing green areas, expanding wildlife habitats, and implementing precise plans to regulate grazing, which helps alleviate pressure on vegetation and stimulates its natural regeneration. The authority explained that it relies on innovative agricultural practices that focus on soil conservation and rational water consumption, thereby enhancing the land's ability to withstand drought and increasing its productivity and sustainability.

The authority emphasized in its message on this occasion that restoring the health of the land and developing vegetation cover is an urgent necessity to face the increasing environmental challenges, pointing out the importance of harnessing all efforts to present qualitative initiatives that contribute to achieving a prosperous and sustainable environment, in line with the targets of the Saudi Green Initiative.
