Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Hamid highlighted in his sermon on the Day of Arafah yesterday (Thursday) the great care that the Kingdom, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, dedicates to the construction of the Two Holy Mosques and the sacred sites, as well as the services, security, and organization provided to enable pilgrims to perform their rituals in safety, tranquility, and ease.

In his sermon, the preacher of the Day of Arafah discussed that faith is not complete unless it is accompanied by the values of maintaining family ties, honoring parents, speaking the truth, using kind words, fulfilling contracts and promises, good morals, patience in times of trial, gratitude in times of blessings, repentance and regret after sin and neglect. He stated that these values reflect the true essence of religiosity and yield the righteousness of the individual and the community. He added that faith includes acknowledging a Creator Lord who governs the universe, characterized by the highest attributes and the best names. He also reaffirmed that part of faith is patience in adversity, gratitude in blessings, and repentance and regret after mistakes and sins.

Sheikh bin Hamid addressed piety as a commitment to God's religion, adherence to His law, fear of His punishment, and hope for His reward. He pointed out that zakat purifies the soul from stinginess and selfishness, trains individuals in generosity and giving, and contributes to strengthening social bonds and connecting members of the community with one another, fostering love, planting affection, and achieving mutual support.
