The Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef, today reviewed the readiness of the Special Emergency Forces to perform their role within the security and military forces participating in this year's Hajj mission.

He listened to an explanation from the Commander of the Special Emergency Forces, Lieutenant General Mohammed bin Maqbool Al-Amri, who discussed the efforts of the forces in managing crowd movement and organizing the stoning of the Jamaraat according to the security plan for Hajj, in addition to the role of the forces in maintaining order and contributing to the safety and security of the pilgrims of the Sacred House of Allah.

He also reviewed the details of the operational plan for the Special Emergency Forces at the Jamaraat facility.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud had previously reviewed the developmental works that this year contribute to enhancing the safety of pilgrims and facilitating crowd movement at the Jamaraat facility, including the preparation of 6 buildings for support services and 11 buildings designated for escalators, which include 386 escalators in addition to electric walkways, as well as the means used to cool the air as part of the project to mitigate the effects of heat stress in the eastern square of the Jamaraat facility.

Accompanying him during the visit were the Acting Deputy Minister of Interior, Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayaf, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the Assistant Minister of Interior, Dr. Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Falih, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Battal, the Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Security Committee for Hajj, Lieutenant General Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Basami, and several senior officials.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud also monitored the workflow at the Hajj Operations Center at the General Security headquarters in Mina. During his tour of the center, he reviewed the mechanisms for implementing security plans and the processes for transporting pilgrims to the holy sites, listening to a detailed explanation from the Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Security Committee for Hajj, Lieutenant General Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Basami, regarding the stages of implementing the plans and procedures followed to ensure the safety and security of the guests of Allah and facilitate their movement smoothly.

He reviewed the technologies used in the center, including the "Midan" application, the "Suhar" platform, the "Baseer" platform, the "Smart Cities" platform, the "Ru'ya" platform, the long-range camera system, and business intelligence dashboards. These platforms and applications, developed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, contribute to data analysis, support decision-makers, and enhance the quality of security and organizational performance.

He also reviewed the latest developments in performance indicators related to Hajj services, which are monitored through the Hajj Projects Management Office within the Guests of Allah Service Program, with more than 50 government entities working to serve the pilgrims of the Sacred House of Allah during the various stages of their Hajj journey.

Accompanying him during the visit were the Acting Deputy Minister of Interior, Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayaf, the Assistant Minister of Interior for Operations, Lieutenant General Saeed bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani, the Assistant Minister of Interior, Dr. Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Falih, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Battal, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Security Affairs, Mr. Mohammed bin Mahna Al-Mahna, the Director General of the Minister's Office for Studies and Research, Major General Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Arawan, and several senior officials from the Ministry of Interior.

In a related context, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, to the security and military leaders of the sectors participating in this year's Hajj mission 1446 AH.

This was during a meeting with the leaders at the Ministry of Interior headquarters in Mecca.

He emphasized the leadership's keenness to provide the highest quality services to the pilgrims of the Sacred House of Allah, pointing out that the Hajj season holds great importance for the wise leadership - may Allah protect it - which has provided all possible means to enable the relevant authorities to fulfill their duties in a manner that ensures the safety and security of the pilgrims at every stage of Hajj.

The Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee addressed the integration between security, military, and service entities, which has contributed to achieving positive numbers and indicators through the arrival of the pilgrims of the Sacred House of Allah to the holy sites and spending the Day of Tarwiyah, and beginning their ascent to the plain of Arafat, while enjoying security and safety. He directed the importance of continuous monitoring to ensure the safety and security of the pilgrims of the Sacred House of Allah, noting the awareness of pilgrims from all nationalities and their role in the success of the plans prepared to serve them through their adherence to the guidelines of the relevant authorities.

He praised the significant efforts made by the personnel of the security and military sectors through their teamwork spirit in serving the guests of Allah, directing that his greetings and appreciation be conveyed to the personnel of the security sectors affiliated with the Ministry of Interior, as well as to the personnel of the Ministry of National Guard, the Ministry of Defense, the Presidency of State Security, and the General Intelligence Presidency.
