«الرابطة» ترحب بقرار المحكمة البريطانية بإدانة حارق نسخة من القرآن

The Muslim World League welcomed the decision of a British court in the capital "London" to convict a man who burned a copy of the Holy Quran and shouted offensive phrases against Islam.

The Secretary-General of the League and Chairman of the Council of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, affirmed in a statement to the Secretariat that the decision deserves praise and is a model that should be generalized in the context of promoting the correct and civilizational concepts of freedom of expression.

He reiterated the Muslim World League's position rejecting the exploitation of the inherent and protected rights of freedom of expression for shameful insults against religious sanctities, provoking the feelings of believers, or destabilizing national communities, and fueling hatred, isolationism, and violence within their fabric, as well as the importance of vigilance against attempts that aim to undermine the cohesion of societal diversity in both its national and human dimensions and disturb its harmony and peace.
