رعى وزير الدفاع الأمير خالد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، اليوم، حفل تخريج دارسي جامعة الدفاع الوطني بوزارة الدفاع، للعام الأكاديمي 1446هـ، وذلك في مقر الجامعة بالرياض.
وكان في استقباله لدى وصوله مقر الجامعة نائب وزير الدفاع الأمير عبدالرحمن بن محمد بن عياف، ورئيس هيئة الأركان العامة الفريق الأول الركن فياض بن حامد الرويلي، ومستشار وزير الدفاع لشؤون الاستخبارات هشام بن عبدالعزيز بن سيف، ورئيس جامعة الدفاع الوطني اللواء الركن محمد بن جدوع الرويلي.
وفور وصول وزير الدفاع عُزف السلام الملكي، بعد ذلك توجه إلى مقر الحفل واستمع إلى شرح اطلع خلاله على منتجات الجامعة وإصدارات مركز الدراسات الإستراتيجية فيها، ثم بُدئ الحفل بتلاوة آيات من القرآن الكريم.
عقب ذلك، شاهد وزير الدفاع عرضاً مرئياً عن برامج الجامعة في إعداد وتأهيل القادة العسكريين والمدنيين الدارسين فيها، إلى جانب استعراض الأنشطة التطويرية والفعاليات التي تعكس تقدم خطط التطوير المؤسسي للجامعة، كما شاهد عرضاً لمسيرة الجامعة بعد عام من تدشينها تضمن خطط الجامعة الإستراتيجية، ودورها في منظومة التعليم العسكري الاحترافي المشترك، وخطة الشراكات الدولية.
إثر ذلك، أُعلنت نتائج الخريجين من برنامج ماجستير الدراسات الإستراتيجية (الدفعة 16)، وبرنامج ماجستير العلوم العسكرية (الدفعة 51) اللذين التحق بهما عدد من الدارسين من مختلف وزارات وقطاعات الدولة، وعدد من الدارسين من الدول الشقيقة والصديقة، ثم كرَّم وزير الدفاع الخريجين المتفوقين، وتسلَّم هدية تذكارية بهذه المناسبة من رئيس الجامعة.
وفي ختام الحفل، التُقطت الصورة التذكارية لسموه مع الخريجين، ثم عُزف السلام الملكي.
حضر الحفل مساعد وزير الدفاع للشؤون التنفيذية الدكتور خالد بن حسين البياري، ونائب رئيس هيئة الأركان العامة الفريق الركن فهد بن عبدالله الغفيلي، وقائد قوات الدفاع الجوي الفريق الركن مزيد بن سليمان العمرو، والمستشار بوزارة الدفاع الرئيس التنفيذي لبرنامج تطوير وزارة الدفاع الدكتور سمير بن عبدالعزيز الطبيّب، وقائد القوات المشتركة الفريق الركن فهد بن حمد السلمان، ورئيس أركان القوات البرية الفريق الركن فهد بن سعود الجهني، وعدد من كبار المسؤولين والملحقين العسكريين لدى المملكة.
Today, Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz sponsored the graduation ceremony for the students of the National Defense University at the Ministry of Defense for the academic year 1446 AH, held at the university's headquarters in Riyadh.
Upon his arrival at the university, he was received by the Deputy Minister of Defense Prince Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Ayaf, the Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Fayyad bin Hamid Al-Ruwaili, the Minister of Defense's Advisor for Intelligence Affairs Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif, and the President of the National Defense University, Major General Mohammed bin Jadoa Al-Ruwaili.
As soon as the Defense Minister arrived, the royal anthem was played. He then proceeded to the venue of the ceremony and listened to an explanation during which he learned about the university's products and the publications of its Strategic Studies Center. The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran.
Following that, the Defense Minister watched a visual presentation about the university's programs in preparing and qualifying military and civilian leaders studying there, as well as showcasing the developmental activities and events that reflect the progress of the university's institutional development plans. He also viewed a presentation on the university's journey a year after its launch, which included the university's strategic plans, its role in the joint professional military education system, and the international partnerships plan.
Subsequently, the results of the graduates from the Master's program in Strategic Studies (Batch 16) and the Master's program in Military Sciences (Batch 51) were announced, which included several students from various ministries and sectors of the state, as well as a number of students from brotherly and friendly countries. The Defense Minister then honored the outstanding graduates and received a commemorative gift on this occasion from the university president.
At the end of the ceremony, a commemorative photo was taken of His Highness with the graduates, followed by the playing of the royal anthem.
The ceremony was attended by the Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Hussein Al-Bayari, the Deputy Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Ghafili, the Commander of the Air Defense Forces Lieutenant General Mazid bin Suleiman Al-Amro, the advisor at the Ministry of Defense and CEO of the Ministry of Defense Development Program Dr. Samir bin Abdulaziz Al-Tabeeb, the Commander of the Joint Forces Lieutenant General Fahd bin Hamad Al-Suliman, the Chief of Ground Forces Staff Lieutenant General Fahd bin Saud Al-Jahani, and a number of senior officials and military attachés in the Kingdom.
