The special forces for road security have tightened their grip on the entrances to the holy capital, taking security measures to prevent the entry of violators of Hajj regulations using smart technologies that monitor the movement of vehicles and individuals at the entrances and exits of Mecca and the holy sites.

“Okaz” observed the readiness of the Al-Shumaisi checkpoint, where the special road security forces are working to facilitate the entry of pilgrims and to control violators and prevent them from entering. The checkpoint includes (16) lanes equipped with the latest smart technologies, administrative offices for road security, a building designated for (10) government agencies, and accommodations for workers. This point contributes to facilitating the movement of vehicles and easing the arrival of those coming to Mecca during the seasons.

The "force" has allocated rapid intervention teams with full equipment to address traffic, criminal, and emergency cases. The spokesperson for road security, Colonel Adel Izzam Al-Mutairi, confirmed to “Okaz” that the special forces for road security are working to prevent violators of Hajj regulations from entering the holy capital, urging everyone to adhere to the Hajj laws and instructions, which aim to maintain the safety and security of the pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and reassurance, and to report any violators of those regulations and instructions via the number (911) in the Mecca region.

He indicated that these efforts come to organize the flow of entry and exit, ensure the smooth movement of authorized pilgrims, and maintain public safety and security during this year's Hajj, emphasizing the prohibition of entry for violators of Hajj regulations.
