نظّم الطلبة السعوديون في جامعة هارفارد، في مقر الجامعة في مدينة كامبريدج بولاية ماساتشوستس الجمعة الماضية، احتفالاً بتخريج 50 مبتعثاً ومبتعثة من جامعة هارفارد ومعهد ماساتشوستس للتقنية (MIT) ضمن «مسار الرواد» في برنامج خادم الحرمين الشريفين للابتعاث الخارجي، إضافة إلى جامعتَي بوسطن وتافتس ضمن «مسار التميز».
وقالت الملحق الثقافي السعودي في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وكندا الدكتور تهاني البيز إن هذا الإنجاز يأتي ثمرة لإستراتيجية برنامج تنمية القدرات البشرية، معبرة عن اعتزازها بما حققه الطلبة السعوديون من منجزات علمية وبحثية في مؤسسات أكاديمية عالمية.
من جهته أوضح رئيس النادي السعودي في جامعة هارفارد عبدالله الدوسري أن تخصصات الخريجين شملت؛ الصحة العامة، القانون، الإدارة العامة، بيولوجيا الفم، الهندسة، والتقنيات الحديثة، مشيراً إلى أن النادي كثّف من أنشطته خلال العام، عبر تنظيم فعاليات أكاديمية وثقافية، وأسهم في بناء جسور معرفية بين المملكة وأرقى مراكز البحث والابتكار في العالم.
Saudi students at Harvard University organized a celebration last Friday at the university's campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to honor the graduation of 50 male and female scholarship recipients from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as part of the "Pioneers Track" in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for External Scholarships, in addition to Boston University and Tufts University under the "Excellence Track."
The Saudi cultural attaché in the United States and Canada, Dr. Tahani Al-Biz, stated that this achievement is a result of the strategy of the Human Capacity Development Program, expressing her pride in what Saudi students have accomplished in terms of scientific and research achievements at prestigious global academic institutions.
For his part, the president of the Saudi Club at Harvard University, Abdullah Al-Dosari, explained that the graduates' fields of study included public health, law, public administration, oral biology, engineering, and modern technologies, noting that the club intensified its activities throughout the year by organizing academic and cultural events and contributed to building knowledge bridges between the Kingdom and the world's leading research and innovation centers.
