The head of the Medina region, Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, chaired a meeting of the governors of the provinces, attended by the Deputy Emir of the region, Abdul Mohsen bin Nayef bin Hamid.

At the beginning of the meeting, he emphasized the importance of monitoring the timelines for implementing development projects in the region's provinces, ensuring the achievement of the targets set by the wise leadership, as part of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. He stressed the need to identify challenges that may hinder the progress of these projects and to address them promptly, to ensure optimal benefit from the ongoing projects and to meet the developmental needs of each province.



The meeting reviewed the level of progress in implementing the plans of the local councils, where the Emir of the region directed the submission of periodic reports on the rates of completion and development proposals. He emphasized the importance of measuring the impact of these plans and their effectiveness in achieving developmental goals, enhancing communication and coordination between government sectors, and fostering constructive interaction with various segments of society, which positively reflects on the quality of services provided to citizens, residents, and visitors.



The meeting also discussed the initiative "Reviving Traditional Handicrafts" in the region's provinces, which aims to preserve cultural heritage and enhance national identity by supporting local artisans and creating a suitable environment for transferring knowledge and craft skills to future generations.

At the end of the meeting, several reports related to developmental, economic, social, and environmental performance were reviewed, along with monitoring the progress of projects in various provinces and their affiliated centers, as part of achieving comprehensive and sustainable development in the region and improving the quality of life for its residents.
