أولى رحلات مبادرة «طريق مكة» تغادر كوت ديفوار

The first flights of beneficiaries from the "Makkah Route" initiative left yesterday from the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire to the Kingdom via the initiative's lounge at Abidjan International Airport, heading to Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in the Medina region. This was attended by the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, Saad bin Bakhit Al-Qathami, the Minister of Interior and Security, Vagondo Doumbia, the Minister of Transport, Amadou Kone, the Special Advisor to the President of the Republic for Religious and Social Affairs, Idrissa Kone, the President of the Supreme Council of Imams and Mosques and Islamic Affairs, Ousmane Jakité, the President of the Supreme Council of Imams and Sunni Organizations and Institutions, Dr. Moussa Fadiga, and the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority, General Abdullah Koulibaly.

The "Makkah Route" initiative aims to provide high-quality services to the guests of Allah from the beneficiary countries, by receiving them and completing their procedures in their home countries easily and smoothly, starting from taking biometric data and issuing Hajj visas electronically, through completing passport procedures at the departure airport, after verifying the availability of health requirements, and coding and sorting luggage according to transport and accommodation arrangements in the Kingdom, and transferring them directly to buses to take them to their accommodation in the Makkah and Medina regions, via dedicated routes, while partner entities handle the delivery of their luggage to them.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Interior is implementing the initiative in its seventh year in cooperation with the Ministries of "Foreign Affairs, Health, Hajj and Umrah, and Media," the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority "SDAIA," the General Authority for Endowments, the Guests of Allah Service Program, and the General Directorate of Passports.
