حقّق المنتخب السعودي للأحياء (6) ميداليات فضية في أولمبياد الأحياء الدولي المفتوح OIBO 2025، الذي استضافته مدينة سوتشي في روسيا، خلال الفترة من 10 إلى 17 مايو الجاري، بمشاركة (100) طالب من (17) دولة حول العالم.
ويأتي هذا الإنجاز تتويجاً للجهود المشتركة بين مؤسسة الملك عبدالعزيز ورجاله للموهبة والإبداع «موهبة»، ووزارة التعليم، في إطار سعيهما لتمكين ورعاية الطلبة الموهوبين وتأهيلهم للمشاركة في المنافسات العلمية الدولية، وتمثيل المملكة بأفضل صورة.
ومثّل المملكة في هذا الأولمبياد الدولي فريق مكوّن من ستة طلاب موهوبين، تمكّنوا جميعاً من تحقيق ميداليات فضية، في إنجاز نوعي يُضاف إلى سجل المملكة المتنامي في الأولمبيادات العلمية.
وضم الفريق الطالب عبدالله هاجد السبيعي من إدارة تعليم الطائف، والطالب فؤاد حسين باجنيد من تعليم جدة، والطالب حسن عبدالله البحار من تعليم الرياض، والطالب حمزة محمد باعيسى من تعليم الرياض، والطالب زياد أحمد النمري من تعليم الهيئة الملكية بينبع، والطالب إلياس فوزي عصلوب من تعليم جدة.
وتُعد هذه المشاركة الأولى للمملكة في هذه النسخة الافتتاحية من أولمبياد الأحياء الدولي المفتوح، الذي يُعد منصة علمية عالمية تهدف إلى تنمية مهارات الطلبة في مجال الأحياء وتعزيز التبادل العلمي والثقافي بين مختلف دول العالم.
ويُجسد هذا الإنجاز استمرار حضور المملكة الفاعل في المحافل العلمية الدولية، ويعكس جودة البرامج التدريبية التي تقدمها «موهبة» بالشراكة مع وزارة التعليم، واستثمارها في قدرات الطلبة الموهوبين لتحقيق التميز العلمي العالمي، تماشياً مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
The Saudi Biology Team achieved (6) silver medals at the International Open Biology Olympiad OIBO 2025, which was hosted in Sochi, Russia, from May 10 to 17, with the participation of (100) students from (17) countries around the world.
This achievement crowns the joint efforts between the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba" and the Ministry of Education, in their pursuit to empower and nurture gifted students and prepare them to participate in international scientific competitions, representing the Kingdom in the best possible way.
The Kingdom was represented in this international Olympiad by a team of six gifted students, all of whom managed to achieve silver medals, in a qualitative achievement that adds to the Kingdom's growing record in scientific Olympiads.
The team included student Abdullah Hajjid Al-Subaie from Taif Education Administration, student Fouad Hussein Bajunaid from Jeddah Education, student Hassan Abdullah Al-Bahar from Riyadh Education, student Hamza Mohammed Ba'isa from Riyadh Education, student Ziyad Ahmed Al-Namri from the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu Education, and student Ilyas Fawzi Asloob from Jeddah Education.
This is the first participation of the Kingdom in this inaugural edition of the International Open Biology Olympiad, which is a global scientific platform aimed at developing students' skills in the field of biology and enhancing scientific and cultural exchange between various countries around the world.
This achievement embodies the continued active presence of the Kingdom in international scientific forums and reflects the quality of the training programs provided by "Mawhiba" in partnership with the Ministry of Education, and its investment in the capabilities of gifted students to achieve global scientific excellence, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
