ضبط مفتشو المركز الوطني لتنمية الحياة الفطرية، عدداً من المخالفين للائحة التنفيذية للإدارة المستدامة للبيئة البحرية والساحلية، وذلك لحيازتهم كائنات فطرية بحرية مهددة بالانقراض محظور صيدها.
وأوضح المركز أن المضبوطات شملت 3 من قروش الحيد المرجاني ذات الزعنفة السوداء، و2 من سمكة أسفان العملاقة، وهي من الأنواع المهددة بالانقراض والمشمولة بالحماية النظامية، وصُودرت واستُكملت الإجراءات النظامية بحق المخالفين وفق الأنظمة المعمول بها.
وبيّن المركز أن صيد الكائنات الفطرية البحرية المهددة بالانقراض يُعد مخالفة صريحة للأنظمة، لما تمثله هذه الأنواع من أهمية بيئية في الحفاظ على التوازن الطبيعي واستدامة البيئة البحرية.
وأكد المركز الوطني لتنمية الحياة الفطرية استمراره في متابعة وضبط مخالفات الصيد، داعياً إلى الإبلاغ عن أي مخالفات مماثلة عبر الرقم الموحد 19914.
Inspectors from the National Center for Wildlife Development have apprehended a number of violators of the executive regulations for the sustainable management of the marine and coastal environment, for possessing marine wildlife species that are threatened with extinction and prohibited from being hunted.
The center clarified that the confiscated items included 3 blackfin reef sharks and 2 giant sunfish, which are species threatened with extinction and protected by law. The items were seized, and legal procedures against the violators were completed in accordance with the applicable regulations.
The center indicated that hunting marine wildlife species threatened with extinction is a clear violation of the regulations, due to the ecological importance of these species in maintaining natural balance and the sustainability of the marine environment.
The National Center for Wildlife Development confirmed its continued efforts to monitor and apprehend fishing violations, calling for reporting any similar violations through the unified number 19914.
