تلقى وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، اتصالات هاتفية من وزراء خارجية المملكة المتحدة ومملكة البحرين والجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية، تناولت العلاقات الثنائية والتطورات الإقليمية، في ظل التصعيد الذي تشهده المنطقة والاعتداءات الحوثية على المملكة.
وبحث خلال اتصال هاتفي تلقاه من وزير الخارجية وشؤون الكومنولث والتنمية في المملكة المتحدة إد ميليباند، العلاقات الثنائية ومستجدات الأوضاع الإقليمية، والجهود المشتركة بين البلدين لمواجهة التوترات والحد من تداعياتها الأمنية والاقتصادية.
وتناول الاتصال اعتداءات ميليشيا الحوثي على مطار الملك خالد الدولي، إذ أكد ميليباند إدانة بلاده أعمال العنف التي يشنها الحوثيون، وتستهدف الداخل اليمني والمنشآت المدنية في المملكة، معرباً عن تضامن المملكة المتحدة مع المملكة العربية السعودية والحكومة اليمنية في مواجهة هذه الاعتداءات.
وفي اتصال آخر، تلقى وزير الخارجية اتصالاً من وزير خارجية مملكة البحرين الدكتور عبداللطيف راشد الزياني، نقل خلاله خالص تعازي بلاده وصادق مواساتها للمملكة العربية السعودية في وفاة مواطنين ومقيمين جراء الاعتداء الإرهابي، الذي شنته ميليشيا الحوثي على مطار الملك خالد الدولي بالرياض.
وأكد الزياني، تضامن البحرين الكامل مع المملكة، ودعمها التام لكل ما تتخذه من إجراءات لصون سيادتها وأمنها واستقرارها، وحماية مواطنيها والمقيمين على أراضيها. كما بحث الوزيران التطورات الإقليمية والجهود المشتركة للحفاظ على أمن المنطقة واستقرارها.
كما تلقى الأمير فيصل بن فرحان اتصالاً هاتفياً من وزير خارجية الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية عباس عراقجي، جرى خلاله بحث التصعيد الأخير في المنطقة والجهود المبذولة بشأنه.
Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received phone calls from the Foreign Ministers of the United Kingdom, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, discussing bilateral relations and regional developments amid the escalation in the region and the Houthi attacks on the Kingdom.
During a phone call from the UK Foreign Secretary and Commonwealth and Development Affairs Minister Ed Miliband, they discussed bilateral relations and the latest regional developments, as well as the joint efforts between the two countries to address tensions and mitigate their security and economic repercussions.
The call addressed the Houthi militia's attacks on King Khalid International Airport, where Miliband condemned his country's violent actions perpetrated by the Houthis, targeting Yemen's interior and civilian facilities in the Kingdom, expressing the United Kingdom's solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Yemeni government in facing these attacks.
In another call, the Foreign Minister received a call from Bahrain's Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif Rashid Al-Zayani, who conveyed his country's sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the loss of citizens and residents due to the terrorist attack launched by the Houthi militia on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
Al-Zayani affirmed Bahrain's full solidarity with the Kingdom and its complete support for all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability, and to protect its citizens and residents on its territory. The two ministers also discussed regional developments and joint efforts to maintain the security and stability of the region.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan also received a phone call from the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during which they discussed the recent escalation in the region and the efforts being made regarding it.
