The Education and Training Evaluation Commission has allowed applicants for the professional master's program to receive the results of the specialized test only, without requiring a score for the general test; those interested can access the application platform and retry to complete their application.
This comes after the controversy surrounding the National Institute for Professional Educational Development's requirement for applicants to the professional master's program in teaching from recent university graduates to obtain results from both tests in order to complete the registration procedures for the available seats in the six specified universities.
It is worth noting that the institute announced an extension of the registration period for the program until (Tuesday) for university graduates wishing to join new educational jobs, after the Ministry of Education mandated obtaining a master's degree for those wishing to enter the teaching profession in the coming years.
The program offers a professional pathway to prepare candidates before entering the teaching profession, by building their competencies in teaching, classroom management, and assessment, linking their academic knowledge with practical application and field training, while directing the preparation of candidates according to the needs of the field in terms of specialties and educational stages; this enhances their readiness for practice and improves the quality of teacher preparation from the beginning of their professional journey, contributing to raising the quality of teacher preparation at the system level, as well as helping schools receive teachers who are more prepared for practice, which reflects positively on the quality of education in the community.
