تشارك المملكة العربية السعودية ممثلة بوزير السياحة أحمد بن عقيل الخطيب، في الاجتماع العاشر للوزراء المسؤولين عن السياحة بدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، الذي تستضيفه مملكة البحرين في مدينة المنامة اليوم.
تعزيز الجاهزية
يأتي الاجتماع امتداداً لمسار العمل السياحي الخليجي المشترك، ومتابعة لما نوقش خلال الاجتماع الاستثنائي للوزراء المسؤولين عن السياحة، الذي عُقد في أبريل الماضي، بما يدعم استمرار التنسيق بين دول المجلس ورفع جاهزية القطاع للتعامل مع المتغيرات. ومن المقرر أن يناقش الاجتماع مستجدات القطاع وعدداً من الأولويات المشتركة، في مقدمتها تعزيز جاهزية القطاع ومرونته، ومواصلة تطوير المبادرات السياحية الخليجية، ودعم التكامل بين الوجهات، إلى جانب تبادل الخبرات والرؤى بما يعزز قدرة القطاع على مواكبة المتغيرات والاستفادة من الفرص المتاحة.
تنسيق الأولويات
تؤكد مشاركة المملكة حرصها على مواصلة دورها في دعم العمل السياحي الخليجي المشترك، والإسهام في تنسيق الأولويات ودفع مجالات التعاون بين دول المجلس. يأتي ذلك في ظل ما تشهده السياحة البينية من زخم، حيث استقبلت المملكة خلال النصف الأول من عام 2026 نحو 3.2 ملايين سائح وافد من دول المجلس الشقيقة، بما يعكس حجم السوق السياحية الخليجية والفرص التي تتيحها لتعزيز حركة السياحة بين دولها.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Minister of Tourism Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb, participates in the tenth meeting of the ministers responsible for tourism in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the city of Manama today.
Enhancing Readiness
The meeting comes as an extension of the joint Gulf tourism work path and follows up on what was discussed during the extraordinary meeting of the ministers responsible for tourism, which was held last April, to support the continued coordination among the council countries and enhance the sector's readiness to deal with changes. The meeting is set to discuss the latest developments in the sector and a number of common priorities, foremost among them enhancing the sector's readiness and resilience, continuing to develop Gulf tourism initiatives, and supporting integration among destinations, in addition to exchanging experiences and insights to enhance the sector's ability to keep pace with changes and benefit from available opportunities.
Coordinating Priorities
The Kingdom's participation confirms its keenness to continue its role in supporting joint Gulf tourism efforts and contributing to coordinating priorities and advancing areas of cooperation among the council countries. This comes amid the momentum witnessed in inter-Gulf tourism, as the Kingdom welcomed approximately 3.2 million inbound tourists from the brotherly council countries during the first half of 2026, reflecting the size of the Gulf tourism market and the opportunities it provides to enhance tourism movement among its countries.
