وقعت فرنسا عقد مشاركتها رسميًا في إكسبو 2030 الرياض، لتكون بذلك أول دولة تستكمل هذه الخطوة، ما يمثل محطة مهمة في رحلة التحضيرات والاستعدادات لإكسبو 2030 الرياض، وتُمهد للمراحل التالية من مشاركة جمهورية فرنسا في المعرض الدولي.
وجاء توقيع عقد المشاركة الرسمية على هامش زيارة ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، -حفظه الله- إلى الجمهورية الفرنسية.
وحضر مراسم التوقيع في باريس وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، والأمين العام للمكتب الدولي للمعارض ديمتري كيركنتزس، ووقّع عقد المشاركة كل من الرئيس التنفيذي لإكسبو 2030 الرياض المهندس طلال المرّي، ورئيس مجلس إدارة الشركة الفرنسية للمعارض (COFREX) وجاك مير.
ويؤسس الاتفاق رسميًا لمشاركة فرنسا في إكسبو 2030 الرياض، بما يتيح لها المضي قدمًا في استعداداتها وتحضيراتها، واستكمال مختلف الجوانب التنظيمية المتعلقة بمشاركتها على مدى الأشهر الستة للمعرض، بما يشمل جناحها وتجربة الزوار والبرامج والعمليات التشغيلية.
وبهذه المناسبة، قال الرئيس التنفيذي لإكسبو 2030 الرياض طلال المرّي: «يُمثل توقيع عقد مشاركة جمهورية فرنسا في إكسبو 2030 الرياض كأول دولة توقع رسميًا عقد مشاركتها في النسخة القادمة من المعرض الدولي، محطة مهمة في مسيرة إكسبو 2030 الرياض، تعكس الزخم المتنامي لتأكيدات المشاركات الدولية، وتتمتع جمهورية فرنسا بتاريخ حافل من النجاحات خلال مشاركاتها في معارض إكسبو الدولية، ولديها إسهامات متميزة في مجالات الثقافة والابتكار وتقديم تجارب مميزة للزوار، ونتطلع إلى توطيد شراكة وثيقة مع الحكومة الفرنسية والشركة الفرنسية للمعارض خلال المرحلة القادمة، وإلى رؤية طموحها يتجسد واقعًا ملموسًا في الرياض عام 2030، إنها خطوة جديدة تقربنا من تحقيق طموحاتنا بتقديم نسخة استثنائية وغير مسبوقة في تاريخ معارض إكسبو الدولي، تجمع دول العالم وثقافاتها وأفكارها في الرياض عام 2030، وتترك إرثًا مستدامًا يمتد أثره للعالم أجمع ما بعد فترة انعقاد الحدث».
من جانبه قال رئيس مجلس إدارة الشركة الفرنسية للمعارض (COFREX) جاك مير: «يمثل إكسبو 2030 الرياض منصة عالمية استثنائية وحدثًا مرتقبًا سنستعرض من خلاله إبداعات فرنسا وابتكاراتها وخبراتها أمام العالم، ونثمّن لإكسبو 2030 الرياض تخصيص موقع متميز ومساحة واسعة للجناح الفرنسي، بما يواكب طموحات مشاركتنا في هذا الحدث العالمي، ويقع الجناح الفرنسي ضمن منطقة «الكوكب»، ويحمل شعار «تحت سماء واحدة»، ويستند في تصميمه إلى أربعة عناصر رئيسة هي السماء والأرض والنار والماء، ونسعى من خلاله إلى تقديم تجربة ثرية وغامرة للزوار، وفي الوقت نفسه إتاحة المجال أمام الشركات الفرنسية لاستعراض خبراتها وقدراتها، لا سيما في مجالات حماية كوكبنا وتعزيز الاستدامة البيئية، ونتطلع من خلال مشاركتنا إلى الإسهام في فتح مجالات أوسع للتواصل والتعاون والحوارات البنّاءة، بما ينسجم مع طموحات إكسبو 2030 الرياض، ونفخر بأن نكون جزءًا من هذا الحدث العالمي، وأن نوظف خبراتنا وإمكاناتنا بما يسهم في نجاح الحدث عندما يجتمع العالم بالرياض في عام 2030».
وتعكس هذه الخطوة التقدم المتواصل في الاستعدادات الجارية لاستضافة إكسبو 2030 الرياض، في أعقاب التوقيع أخيرًا على اتفاقية الامتيازات والمزايا الممنوحة للمشاركين الدوليين في إكسبو 2030 الرياض بين المملكة العربية السعودية والمكتب الدولي للمعارض، وبالتوازي مع استمرار أعمال تطوير الموقع والاستعدادات التشغيلية.
وسيُقام إكسبو 2030 الرياض خلال الفترة من 1 أكتوبر 2030 حتى 31 مارس 2031، تحت شعار «رؤية للمستقبل»، ليجمع على مدى ستة أشهر أكثر من 200 مشارك رسمي، ويستقبل 42 مليون زيارة متوقعة من مختلف أنحاء العالم، ومن خلال الأجنحة الوطنية والبرامج الثقافية والابتكار والتجارب التفاعلية، سيُتيح المعرض للدول والمنظمات استعراض رؤاها وطموحاتها وبناء شراكات فاعلة، واستكشاف حلول مبتكرة للتحديات المشتركة، بما يفتح آفاقًا جديدة نحو مستقبل أكثر استدامة وازدهارًا للجميع، ويمتد أثر إكسبو 2030 الرياض إلى ما بعد اختتام فعالياته، إذ من المخطط أن يتحول الموقع إلى قرية عالمية نابضة بالحياة، ومركز دائم للابتكار والمعرفة، بما يترك إرثًا مستدامًا للرياض والمملكة والعالم والأجيال القادمة.
France has officially signed its participation contract for Expo 2030 Riyadh, becoming the first country to complete this step, marking an important milestone in the preparations and readiness for Expo 2030 Riyadh, and paving the way for the next stages of the French Republic's participation in the international exhibition.
The signing of the official participation contract took place on the sidelines of the visit of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God protect him, to the French Republic.
Attending the signing ceremony in Paris were Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Secretary-General of the International Exhibitions Bureau Dimitri Kerkentzes, and the participation contract was signed by the CEO of Expo 2030 Riyadh, Engineer Talal Al-Mari, and the Chairman of the French Exhibitions Company (COFREX) Jacques Mir.
The agreement officially establishes France's participation in Expo 2030 Riyadh, allowing it to move forward with its preparations and readiness, and to complete various organizational aspects related to its participation over the six months of the exhibition, including its pavilion, visitor experience, programs, and operational processes.
On this occasion, the CEO of Expo 2030 Riyadh, Talal Al-Mari, said: "The signing of the participation contract by the Republic of France in Expo 2030 Riyadh as the first country to officially sign its participation contract for the upcoming edition of the international exhibition represents an important milestone in the journey of Expo 2030 Riyadh. It reflects the growing momentum of international participation confirmations. The Republic of France has a rich history of successes during its participation in international Expo exhibitions, and it has distinguished contributions in the fields of culture, innovation, and providing unique experiences for visitors. We look forward to strengthening a close partnership with the French government and the French Exhibitions Company during the upcoming phase, and to seeing its ambitions materialize into a tangible reality in Riyadh in 2030. This step reflects the ongoing progress in the preparations for hosting Expo 2030 Riyadh, following the recent signing of the agreement on the privileges and benefits granted to international participants in Expo 2030 Riyadh between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the International Exhibitions Bureau, alongside the continued development of the site and operational preparations.
Expo 2030 Riyadh will be held from October 1, 2030, to March 31, 2031, under the theme "A Vision for the Future," bringing together more than 200 official participants over six months and expected to receive 42 million visits from around the world. Through national pavilions, cultural programs, innovation, and interactive experiences, the exhibition will allow countries and organizations to showcase their visions and ambitions, build effective partnerships, and explore innovative solutions to common challenges, opening new horizons towards a more sustainable and prosperous future for all. The impact of Expo 2030 Riyadh will extend beyond the conclusion of its events, as the site is planned to transform into a vibrant global village and a permanent center for innovation and knowledge, leaving a sustainable legacy for Riyadh, the Kingdom, the world, and future generations.
