شارك وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، في العاصمة الأردنية عمّان اليوم، في الاجتماع الخامس للأطراف الإقليمية الأربعة، إلى جانب نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجية في جمهورية باكستان الإسلامية محمد إسحاق دار، ووزير الخارجية والهجرة وشؤون المصريين بالخارج في جمهورية مصر العربية الدكتور بدر عبدالعاطي، ووزير خارجية جمهورية تركيا هاكان فيدان.
وخلال الاجتماع، بحث الوزير مع نظرائه الوزراء مستجدات الأوضاع الإقليمية، وأهمية مواصلة الجهود وتكثيف التنسيق المشترك، وتوحيد المواقف بشأن القضايا الإقليمية الراهنة.
وأكد الوزراء أهمية تكاتف الجهود لضمان سلامة الممرات المائية في مضيقَي هرمز وباب المندب، بما يضمن حرية الملاحة البحرية فيهما، ويسهم في الحفاظ على استقرار سلاسل الإمداد وأسواق الطاقة، مثمنين مبادرة المملكة العربية السعودية في إنشاء التحالف البحري الدفاعي متعدد الجنسيات لتعزيز الأمن البحري وحماية الممرات البحرية الدولية، والتصدي للتهديدات التي تستهدف الملاحة والتجارة الدوليتين.
وناقش الوزراء الجهود المبذولة لخفض التصعيد ومعالجة التحديات الأمنية الراهنة، وضرورة مواصلة دعم الحلول الدبلوماسية، وجهود الوساطة الباكستانية القطرية، وتعزيز كل ما من شأنه احترام سيادة الدول وسلامة أراضيها، بما يحفظ أمن المنطقة واستقرارها.
Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated today in the Jordanian capital, Amman, in the fifth meeting of the four regional parties, alongside the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptians Abroad of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, and the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey, Hakan Fidan.
During the meeting, the minister discussed with his fellow ministers the latest developments in the regional situation, the importance of continuing efforts, intensifying joint coordination, and unifying positions on current regional issues.
The ministers emphasized the importance of concerted efforts to ensure the safety of maritime passages in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb, ensuring freedom of navigation in them, and contributing to the stability of supply chains and energy markets. They appreciated the initiative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to establish a multinational maritime defense alliance to enhance maritime security, protect international maritime passages, and counter threats targeting international navigation and trade.
The ministers discussed the efforts being made to de-escalate tensions and address current security challenges, the necessity of continuing to support diplomatic solutions, and the mediation efforts of Pakistan and Qatar, as well as enhancing everything that respects the sovereignty of states and the integrity of their territories, in order to preserve the security and stability of the region.
