بحضور رئيس جمهورية ليبيريا جوزيف نيوما بواكاي، افتتح الرئيس التنفيذي للصندوق السعودي للتنمية سلطان المرشد، مشروع تطوير طريق بانجا-سالايا في ليبيريا، الممول من الصندوق بقيمة 20 مليون دولار، بالشراكة مع عدد من مؤسسات مجموعة التنسيق العربية.
ويمتد المشروع على 81 كيلومتراً، ويشمل إنشاء جسور ومنشآت لتصريف مياه الأمطار وعناصر للسلامة المرورية ومحطة لقياس الأحمال، بما يسهم في تحسين شبكة النقل وتعزيز الربط اللوجستي ودعم التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية.
وسبق أن موّل الصندوق السعودي للتنمية منذ عام 1978 أربعة مشاريع وبرامج في ليبيريا بقروض تنموية ميسرة تجاوزت 58.8 مليون دولار، لدعم عدد من القطاعات التنموية.
In the presence of the President of the Republic of Liberia, Joseph Nyuma Boakai, the CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development, Sultan Al-Murshid, inaugurated the Bangha-Salaya Road Development Project in Liberia, funded by the fund with an amount of 20 million dollars, in partnership with several institutions from the Arab Coordination Group.
The project extends over 81 kilometers and includes the construction of bridges, rainwater drainage facilities, traffic safety elements, and a load measurement station, contributing to the improvement of the transport network, enhancing logistical connectivity, and supporting economic and social development.
Since 1978, the Saudi Fund for Development has previously funded four projects and programs in Liberia with concessional development loans exceeding 58.8 million dollars, to support several developmental sectors.
