أصبح الهاتف المتنقل الوسيلة الرئيسة للوصول إلى الإنترنت في السعودية، بعدما استحوذ على 99.6% من الأجهزة المستخدمة للاتصال بالشبكة، وفق تقرير «إنترنت السعودية 2025» الصادر عن هيئة الاتصالات والفضاء والتقنية.
وأظهر التقرير أن 84% من مستخدمي الإنترنت يتصلون بالشبكة أثناء التنقل، مقابل 77.5% داخل المنزل و41.4% في مقار العمل، في مؤشر على تحول الإنترنت إلى خدمة ترافق المستخدم طوال يومه، سواء لإنجاز المعاملات، أو سداد المدفوعات، أو استخدام الخرائط، أو طلب الخدمات، أو متابعة الأخبار والتواصل.
وجاءت أجهزة الكمبيوتر في المرتبة الثانية بين وسائل الوصول إلى الإنترنت بنسبة 47.4%، تلتها الأجهزة اللوحية بنسبة 39.2%، فيما بلغت نسبة استخدام الأجهزة الأخرى، مثل الساعات الذكية ومنصات الألعاب والقارئات الإلكترونية 30.7%.
وبيّن التقرير أن 61.3% من مستخدمي الإنترنت يقضون سبع ساعات أو أكثر يومياً على الشبكة، وترتفع النسبة بين الإناث إلى 63.8%، مقابل 59.4% لدى الذكور. كما يستخدم 34.1% الإنترنت بين ثلاث وست ساعات يومياً، بينما لا تتجاوز نسبة من يستخدمونه أقل من ثلاث ساعات 4.6%.
وسجلت الفترة بين التاسعة والحادية عشرة مساءً أعلى كثافة لاستخدام الإنترنت خلال اليوم، فيما تصدر يوم الجمعة أيام الأسبوع من حيث الاستخدام، وجاء شهر مارس في المرتبة الأولى بين أشهر السنة من حيث ذروة الاتصال.
وفي أنظمة تشغيل الهواتف الذكية، استحوذ نظام «أندرويد» على 60% من الأجهزة المستخدمة، مقابل 40% لنظام «آبل»، بما يعكس استمرار هيمنة الهواتف الذكية على تجربة استخدام الإنترنت في المملكة.
The mobile phone has become the primary means of accessing the internet in Saudi Arabia, accounting for 99.6% of devices used to connect to the network, according to the "Internet Saudi Arabia 2025" report issued by the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission.
The report showed that 84% of internet users connect to the network while on the go, compared to 77.5% at home and 41.4% at work, indicating that the internet has transformed into a service that accompanies users throughout their day, whether for completing transactions, making payments, using maps, requesting services, or following news and communication.
Computers ranked second among means of accessing the internet at 47.4%, followed by tablets at 39.2%, while the percentage of usage of other devices, such as smartwatches, gaming consoles, and e-readers, reached 30.7%.
The report indicated that 61.3% of internet users spend seven hours or more daily online, with the percentage rising among females to 63.8%, compared to 59.4% among males. Additionally, 34.1% use the internet between three and six hours daily, while the percentage of those who use it for less than three hours does not exceed 4.6%.
The period between 9 PM and 11 PM recorded the highest intensity of internet usage during the day, while Friday topped the days of the week in terms of usage, and March ranked first among the months of the year for peak connectivity.
In smartphone operating systems, the "Android" system accounted for 60% of the devices used, compared to 40% for the "Apple" system, reflecting the continued dominance of smartphones in the internet usage experience in the Kingdom.
