اختتم المنتدى السعودي للأبنية الخضراء مشاركته في أعمال المنتدى السياسي رفيع المستوى بشأن التنمية المستدامة (HLPF 2026)، بتقديم بيان شفهي أمام المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي للأمم المتحدة (ECOSOC)، دعا فيه إلى الانتقال من مرحلة الالتزامات إلى التنفيذ القائم على القياس والتحقق، واعتماد مؤشرات لإدارة الطلب على الموارد لتسريع تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة.

وأكد الأمين العام للمنتدى المهندس فيصل الفضل أن الاستدامة تتطلب سياسات مبنية على الأدلة والبيانات، مستعرضاً منظومة saaf® لتقييم المطابقة التي طوّرها المنتدى، وتجارب تطبيقها في أكثر من 120 مبادرة محلية و312 مشروعاً في 22 دولة عربية، حققت نتائج في خفض الانبعاثات وترشيد استهلاك الموارد.
واختتم المنتدى مشاركته بعد سلسلة من الفعاليات واللقاءات مع مسؤولي الأمم المتحدة وممثلي الدول والمنظمات الدولية، مستعرضاً التجربة السعودية في مجالات الاستدامة والعمل التطوعي وتقييم المطابقة، بما يعزز حضور المملكة في جهود تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة.
The Saudi Green Buildings Forum concluded its participation in the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF 2026) by delivering an oral statement before the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), calling for a transition from a phase of commitments to implementation based on measurement and verification, and the adoption of indicators for managing resource demand to accelerate the achievement of sustainable development goals.
Evidence and Data
The Secretary-General of the Forum, Engineer Faisal Al-Fadl, emphasized that sustainability requires policies based on evidence and data, reviewing the saaf® compliance assessment system developed by the Forum, and its application experiences in more than 120 local initiatives and 312 projects in 22 Arab countries, which achieved results in reducing emissions and rationalizing resource consumption.
The Forum concluded its participation after a series of events and meetings with UN officials and representatives of countries and international organizations, showcasing the Saudi experience in the fields of sustainability, volunteer work, and compliance assessment, thereby enhancing the Kingdom's presence in efforts to achieve sustainable development goals.
