عقد وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، ورئيس الوزراء وزير خارجية جمهورية كينيا الدكتور موساليا مودافادي، الاجتماع الأول للجنة المشاورات السياسية السعودية الكينية، بهدف تطوير العلاقات بين البلدين الصديقين ورفع مستوى التنسيق والتشاور بما يخدم مصالحهما المشتركة ويسهم في دعم أمن المنطقة واستقرارها. وشهد الاجتماع التوقيع على 3 مذكرات تفاهم في مجالات تشجيع الاستثمار المباشر، والتعاون والمساعدة المتبادلة في المسائل الجمركية، ومذكرة تفاهم بين بنك التصدير والاستيراد السعودي ومؤسسة كينيا للتنمية، إضافة إلى توقيع اتفاقية بشأن استقدام وتوظيف العمالة الكينية. وجاء الاجتماع، عقب استقبال وزير الخارجية في مقر الوزارة بالرياض أمس، رئيس الوزراء وزير خارجية كينيا، حيث جرى بحث العلاقات الثنائية وسبل تعزيز التعاون في مختلف المجالات.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, and the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya, Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, held the first meeting of the Saudi-Kenyan Political Consultative Committee, with the aim of developing relations between the two friendly countries and enhancing coordination and consultation to serve their common interests and contribute to supporting the security and stability of the region. The meeting witnessed the signing of three memorandums of understanding in the areas of promoting direct investment, mutual cooperation and assistance in customs matters, and a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Export-Import Bank and the Kenya Development Corporation, in addition to signing an agreement regarding the recruitment and employment of Kenyan labor. This meeting followed the reception of the Minister of Foreign Affairs at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh yesterday, where bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation in various fields were discussed.
