اختتمت هيئة الأدب والنشر والترجمة مشاركة المملكة ضيفَ شرفٍ في معرض كوالالمبور الدولي للكتاب 2026، بعد حضور لافت وإقبال كبير من الزوار.
وأكد الرئيس التنفيذي للهيئة الدكتور عبداللطيف الواصل، أن المشاركة عكست قوة العلاقات السعودية الماليزية، وأسهمت في تعزيز الحضور الثقافي السعودي دولياً وبناء جسور التواصل مع المثقفين والناشرين في آسيا.
وشهد الجناح السعودي برنامجاً ثقافياً متنوعاً، شمل الندوات والعروض الفنية وتجارب الحرف والأزياء التراثية، إضافة إلى توقيع اتفاقيات تعاون ثقافي. كما شاركت جهات ثقافية سعودية عدة في إبراز الحراك الثقافي الذي تشهده المملكة، ما نال إشادات واسعة من زوار المعرض والجهات المشاركة.
The Saudi Literature, Publishing, and Translation Authority concluded the Kingdom's participation as Guest of Honor at the 2026 Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair, following a notable attendance and significant interest from visitors.
The CEO of the authority, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Wasel, confirmed that the participation reflected the strength of Saudi-Malaysian relations and contributed to enhancing the Saudi cultural presence internationally and building bridges of communication with intellectuals and publishers in Asia.
The Saudi pavilion featured a diverse cultural program, including seminars, artistic performances, and experiences of traditional crafts and fashion, in addition to signing cultural cooperation agreements. Several Saudi cultural entities participated in showcasing the cultural movement taking place in the Kingdom, which received wide acclaim from visitors to the fair and participating entities.
