أكد الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم البديوي، أن الشباب الخليجي يمثلون الركيزة الأساسية في بناء مستقبل دول مجلس التعاون وتحقيق الرؤي الوطنية لبلدانهم، ولهم بصمات واضحة في مسيرة التنمية الخليجية الشاملة.
وقال، بمناسبة اليوم الخليجي للشباب الذي يصادف 6 يونيو من كل عام: إن هذه المناسبة تمثّل محطة مهمة في دول المجلس للاحتفاء بالدور الحيوي الذي يقوم به الشباب الخليجي في المجالات كافة.
وأن دول المجلس ومن خلال التوجيهات السامية لقادة دول المجلس تولي اهتماماً بالغاً بتمكين الشباب، من خلال إقرار الأنظمة والقرارات، وتطوير السياسات والإستراتيجيات والمبادرات التي تستهدف صقل مهاراتهم، وتعزيز قدراتهم، وتهيئتهم للإسهام في مواجهة التحديات واستثمار الفرص في مختلف المجالات التنموية.
وأشار إلى أن الأمانة العامة تواصل جهودها في دعم العمل الخليجي المشترك في قطاع الشباب، عبر تعزيز التنسيق بين الدول الأعضاء، وتبادل الخبرات، وتنظيم البرامج والأنشطة التي تسهم في تنمية قدرات الشباب، وتشجيع الابتكار وريادة الأعمال، وتعزيز المشاركة المجتمعية.
وأوضح البديوي، أن ما تحقق في دول المجلس من إنجازات نوعية في مجال الشباب، يعكس حرص قيادات دول المجلس على الاستثمار في هذه الفئة الحيوية، وإطلاق المبادرات التي تعزز من دور الشباب في التنمية المستدامة.
وجدد الأمين العام، في ختام تصريحه، تأكيد التزام الأمانة العامة بدعم الشباب الخليجي، إيماناً بأنهم الثروة الحقيقية، وبطاقاتهم وإبداعاتهم تبنى الأوطان ويصنع المستقبل المزدهر لدول مجلس التعاون.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Al-Budaiwi, affirmed that Gulf youth represent the fundamental pillar in building the future of the GCC countries and achieving the national visions of their countries, and they have clear fingerprints in the comprehensive Gulf development journey.
He stated, on the occasion of the Gulf Youth Day, which falls on June 6 of each year: This occasion represents an important milestone in the member states to celebrate the vital role played by Gulf youth in all fields.
He added that the member states, through the high directives of the leaders of the member states, pay great attention to empowering youth by enacting laws and decisions, developing policies, strategies, and initiatives aimed at honing their skills, enhancing their capabilities, and preparing them to contribute to facing challenges and seizing opportunities in various developmental fields.
He pointed out that the General Secretariat continues its efforts to support joint Gulf work in the youth sector by enhancing coordination among member states, exchanging experiences, and organizing programs and activities that contribute to developing youth capabilities, encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship, and promoting community participation.
Al-Budaiwi clarified that the qualitative achievements made in the member states in the field of youth reflect the leaders' commitment to investing in this vital segment and launching initiatives that enhance the role of youth in sustainable development.
In conclusion, the Secretary-General reiterated the General Secretariat's commitment to supporting Gulf youth, believing that they are the true wealth, and with their energies and creativity, nations are built, and a prosperous future for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries is created.
