عقدت جامعة الأمير محمد بن فهد ومؤسسة الأمير محمد بن فهد للتنمية الإنسانية ظهر أمس مؤتمراً صحفياً للإعلان عن إطلاق حزمة من المبادرات النوعية التي تقدمها جامعة الأمير محمد بن فهد ومؤسسة الأمير محمد بن فهد للتنمية الإنسانية، في إطار رسالتهما المستمرة في دعم التنمية الإنسانية وتمكين المبادرات ذات الأثر المستدام محلياً ودولياً.
ويأتي هذا المؤتمر تأكيداً على نهج الجامعة والمؤسسة في تعزيز العمل الإنساني والتنموي، واستدامة إرث المغفور له – بإذن الله – صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير محمد بن فهد بن عبدالعزيز، رحمه الله، في خدمة الإنسان وبناء المبادرات ذات الأثر المجتمعي المستدام.
واستعرض رئيس جامعة الأمير محمد بن فهد والأمين العام لمؤسسة الأمير محمد بن فهد للتنمية الإنسانية الدكتور عيسى بن حسن الأنصاري، خلال المؤتمر، الذي عقد ظهر أمس بمقر المؤسسة، ملامح الإرث الإنساني والتعليمي الذي تركه الأمير محمد بن فهد – رحمه الله – مؤكداً أن الجامعة والمؤسسة تستحضران في ذكرى وفاته نموذجاً وطنياً رائداً في الاستثمار في الإنسان، وجعل العمل الإنساني والتنمية المستدامة نهجاً مؤسسياً ممتد الأثر.
وأشار إلى أن مسيرة الأمير – رحمه الله – أسفرت عن تأسيس منظومة متكاملة في التعليم والتنمية الإنسانية، كان من أبرز ثمارها تخريج آلاف الطلاب والطالبات من جامعة الأمير محمد بن فهد، إلى جانب تحقيق اعتمادات أكاديمية دولية، وبناء شراكات تعليمية وبحثية محلية وعالمية، وتقديم برامج نوعية أسهمت في إعداد كفاءات وطنية مؤهلة.
كما نفذت مؤسسة الأمير محمد بن فهد للتنمية الإنسانية عشرات البرامج الإنسانية والتنموية التي استفادت منها آلاف الأسر والأفراد في مجالات التمكين الاجتماعي، وتحسين المساكن، ودعم الفئات الأشد احتياجاً داخل المملكة وخارجها.
وأوضح الدكتور الأنصاري أن عشرات الآلاف استفادوا من برامج الجامعة والمؤسسة في مجالات التعليم، والتنمية الإنسانية، والتمكين المجتمعي، بما يجسد رسالة سموه – رحمه الله – في خدمة الإنسان دون حدود.
ومن مبادرات المؤسسة: مضاعفة إنجازات المبادرات القائمة وتوسيع دائرة أثرها، وتشمل: برنامج تنمية الشباب، برنامج تحسين مساكن المحتاجين، صندوق شفاء، الإسكان الخيري، المساعدات المالية المباشرة، ترميم المساجد، بسمة حياة، مركز رؤيا، حاضنة مخرجات السجون.
ومن المبادرات الجديدة (ويستمر العطاء): برنامج التحول الأسري، برنامج القدرات العالمية للتعلم مدى الحياة، برنامج عطاء الرمضاني.
مبادرات متواصلة وإرث لا يتوقف بالرحيل
واستمراراً لإرث لا يتوقف بالرحيل، قال الدكتور الانصاري: تتواصل اليوم المبادرات التي تجسد امتداد إرث الأمير محمد بن فهد – رحمه الله – من خلال إطلاق مبادرات تعليمية وإنسانية في جامعة الأمير محمد بن فهد، شملت برامج أكاديمية، وكراسي علمية، وملتقيات، ومبادرات شبابية وتنموية.
كما بين الدكتور الانصاري أن مؤسسة الأمير محمد بن فهد للتنمية الإنسانية تواصل تنفيذ برنامجها الرمضاني السنوي «لا ينقطع»، الذي يُطرح خلال شهر رمضان من كل عام بوصفه برنامجاً مستداماً يجسد مفهوم الصدقة الجارية وامتداد الأجر، ويشمل حزمة من المبادرات الإنسانية الموسمية والمستدامة، من أبرزها: إفطار الصائم، والسلال الغذائية، ودعم الأسر المحتاجة، وتحسين المساكن، وسقيا الماء، وكسوة العيد، ووقف المصاحف، داخل المملكة وخارجها.
وأشار الدكتور الأنصاري إلى مبادرات الجامعة ومنها جائزة الأمير محمد بن فهد العالمية (2 مليون دولار) في مجالات: البحث والإنتاج العلمي، الابتكار والاختراع، التحول الرقمي والذكاء الاصطناعي، العمل الإنساني، السلام والتعايش الثقافي.
وكذلك «وسام الأمير محمد بن فهد للتقدير»، وهو تكريم رمزي غير تنافسي يُمنح سنوياً في يوم ذكرى وفاته (28 يناير) لمن قدموا إسهامات إنسانية ومجتمعية ذات أثر ملموس، تتسق مع القيم التي آمن بها الأمير – رحمه الله. وكذلك مستشفى الأمير محمد بن فهد التخصصي، أكاديمية جامعة الأمير محمد بن فهد الرياضية، برنامج الأمير محمد بن فهد العالمي للمنح الدراسية، كراسي علمية (جامعة أفران – الأيسيسكو)، منحة العطاء العلمي (منحة بحثية سنوية لأفضل بحث يربط التعليم بالعمل الإنساني).
وأكد الدكتور الأنصاري في ختام المؤتمر الصحفي: لم يكن رحيل الفقيد نهايةً لمسيرة العطاء، بل بدايةً لمرحلةٍ جديدة عنوانها «الاستدامة المؤسسية للإرث»، بدعمٍ وإشرافٍ كريم من صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير تركي بن محمد بن فهد بن عبدالعزيز، وزير الدولة وعضو مجلس الوزراء، رئيس مجلس أمناء جامعة الأمير محمد بن فهد وبمشاركة أبناء الفقيد البررة.
وانطلاقاً من هذا النهج، ستواصل المبادرات القائمة مسيرتها مع مضاعفة إنجازاتها، إلى جانب إطلاق مبادراتٍ نوعية جديدة، تجسيداً لاستدامة العطاء وتجديد الإرث، بما يعكس القيم العميقة التي غرسها الفقيد ويحوّلها إلى أثرٍ ممتد ومستدام.
The Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University and the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development held a press conference yesterday afternoon to announce the launch of a package of qualitative initiatives offered by the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University and the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development, as part of their ongoing mission to support human development and empower initiatives with sustainable impact locally and internationally.
This conference comes as a confirmation of the university and foundation's approach to enhancing humanitarian and developmental work, and sustaining the legacy of the late – may God have mercy on him – His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, may God have mercy on him, in serving humanity and building initiatives with sustainable community impact.
During the conference, which was held yesterday afternoon at the foundation's headquarters, Dr. Issa bin Hassan Al-Ansari, President of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University and Secretary-General of the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development, reviewed the features of the humanitarian and educational legacy left by Prince Mohammed bin Fahd – may God have mercy on him – emphasizing that the university and the foundation recall, on the anniversary of his death, a pioneering national model in investing in human resources, making humanitarian work and sustainable development an institutional approach with extended impact.
He pointed out that the journey of the prince – may God have mercy on him – resulted in the establishment of a comprehensive system in education and human development, one of the most notable fruits of which is the graduation of thousands of students from Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University, in addition to achieving international academic accreditations, building local and global educational and research partnerships, and providing quality programs that contributed to preparing qualified national competencies.
The Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development has also implemented dozens of humanitarian and developmental programs that have benefited thousands of families and individuals in areas of social empowerment, housing improvement, and support for the most needy groups inside and outside the Kingdom.
Dr. Al-Ansari clarified that tens of thousands have benefited from the university and foundation's programs in the fields of education, human development, and community empowerment, embodying His Highness's – may God have mercy on him – message of serving humanity without borders.
Among the foundation's initiatives are: doubling the achievements of existing initiatives and expanding their impact, which include: the Youth Development Program, the Housing Improvement Program for the Needy, the Healing Fund, Charitable Housing, direct financial assistance, mosque renovations, a Smile of Life, the Vision Center, and a prison output incubator.
New initiatives (and the giving continues) include: the Family Transformation Program, the Global Capabilities Program for Lifelong Learning, and the Ramadan Giving Program.
Continuous Initiatives and a Legacy That Does Not End with Departure
Continuing a legacy that does not end with departure, Dr. Al-Ansari stated: Today, initiatives that embody the extension of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd's legacy – may God have mercy on him – continue through the launch of educational and humanitarian initiatives at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University, which include academic programs, scientific chairs, forums, and youth and developmental initiatives.
Dr. Al-Ansari also indicated that the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development continues to implement its annual Ramadan program "Never Ends," which is launched during the month of Ramadan each year as a sustainable program that embodies the concept of ongoing charity and the extension of reward, and includes a package of seasonal and sustainable humanitarian initiatives, the most notable of which are: breaking the fast for the fasting, food baskets, support for needy families, housing improvement, water provision, Eid clothing, and the endowment of Qur'ans, both inside and outside the Kingdom.
Dr. Al-Ansari pointed to the university's initiatives, including the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd International Award (2 million dollars) in the fields of: research and scientific production, innovation and invention, digital transformation and artificial intelligence, humanitarian work, peace, and cultural coexistence.
Additionally, the "Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Medal of Appreciation," which is a non-competitive symbolic honor awarded annually on the anniversary of his death (January 28) to those who have made humanitarian and community contributions with tangible impact, consistent with the values that the prince believed in – may God have mercy on him. Also included are the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Specialized Hospital, the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University Sports Academy, the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Global Scholarship Program, scientific chairs (Afran University – ISESCO), and the Scientific Giving Grant (an annual research grant for the best research linking education to humanitarian work).
Dr. Al-Ansari concluded the press conference by affirming: The departure of the deceased was not the end of a journey of giving, but the beginning of a new phase titled "Institutional Sustainability of the Legacy," with the support and generous supervision of His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University, and with the participation of the deceased's noble children.
Based on this approach, the existing initiatives will continue their journey while doubling their achievements, alongside launching new qualitative initiatives, embodying the sustainability of giving and renewing the legacy, reflecting the deep values instilled by the deceased and transforming them into extended and sustainable impact.
