الحقيل يزور الحدود الشمالية ويدشّن مشاريع بـ400 مليون ريال

The Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hoqail, visited the Northern Borders region today (Wednesday), where he met with the Emir of the region, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan Al Saud. They discussed ways to enhance municipal work, develop services, and support developmental and investment projects, contributing to improving the quality of life and achieving sustainable development.
The visit witnessed the launch of maintenance and operation projects worth more than 400 million riyals, in addition to the initiation of property registration activities in the region, a step aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the real estate sector and increasing its reliability.
Al-Hoqail reviewed the performance of the Northern Borders Municipality in providing municipal services and met with the municipality's leadership to discuss the most significant current achievements and future plans, emphasizing the importance of improving the quality of services provided to citizens and residents. He also met with several citizens, investors, and businessmen, listening to their observations and needs, reaffirming the ministry's approach to direct communication and linking planning with the field.
The visit included a presentation of the most important future investment projects and municipal achievements in the region, honoring donors in the "Jood Al-Munatqat" campaign from the previous edition, in addition to signing several developmental agreements with various entities to enhance the quality of services and the efficiency of project implementation. His Excellency also followed up on the progress of work on the "City View" platform and held a meeting with the municipality's leadership to discuss projects and operational plans.
The visit concluded with a field tour that included reviewing the Business Center, granting land to the National Guard, visiting the Al-Ghusoon Arar housing project, and the Al-Ghusoon Arar Park, to assess the reality of the projects on the ground.
The Minister of Municipalities and Housing confirmed that the Northern Borders region has witnessed investments exceeding 2.5 billion riyals in service, municipal, and housing projects over the past five years (2021-2025), contributing to improving the quality of life and enhancing sustainable development. He emphasized the importance of partnership with the private sector to maximize the economic and social impact in the region.
Al-Hoqail pointed out that these projects represent a comprehensive journey to uplift the Northern Borders region, enhancing its status as a strategic northern gateway for the Kingdom and increasing its attractiveness to residents, visitors, and investors.
